CHI Dermatology - Ogechi Ikediobi, M.D., Ph.D.

Today was my first appointment with Dr. Ogechi Ikediobi (Chi). I must say of the 4 dermatologist I have used in the Tri-Valley area I felt the most welcomed. She gave me the most attention and explanations out of any of them. I could truly feel she cared about the hell I have been going through with my eczema. Thank you for caring! Her team was so polite and amazing as well. I look forward to a long partnership with her and her team and I can't wait to feel better under her treatment.

I went to Dr. Chi a couple of times. Really nice experience. She solved my issue, but more importantly her bed side manners are off the chart.

I unfortunately did not have a positive experience here. The doctor is nice but everything else was really odd/stressful. I went to check on concerns about dots/itching on my elbows and the doctor took a biopsy to be safe. It ended up just being eczema. Also, when I was there at my first appointment and checking out, the two front desk nurses were arguing with each other in front of me and it made for a very uncomfortable/awkward experience as I was standing there. Lastly, and what I’m most disappointed with is that I had asked the doctor multiple times if she could check on my acne and maybe prescribe me tretinoin or something to help. It’s very mild acne. However, she kept pushing it off and pushing for me to make an appointment for each separate thing. Every time I would go there I had to pay a large copay so it frustrated me that she wouldn’t help me out even though the visits would be less than 20 minutes long. She kept saying that I needed a separate visit to assess everything. That rubbed me the wrong way and I don’t think I’ll be back because of these things.

Doctor Ikediobi's treatment of an acute full body rash was compassionate and reassuring as I was very concerned and an emotional wreck. She diagnosed and developed a treat plan to treat and resolve the problem. Her reassurance, support and kindness I will forever cherish.

I had my first appointment today with Dr. Chi and left feeling a huge burden bad been lifted. She listened and understood exactly how I felt. She explained the diagnosis and next steps for treatment. Dr. Chi is amazing and extremely experienced. I highly recommend Dr. Chi. And her staff is awesome too! Thank you Dr. Chi for allowing me to be heard and for being transparent, non-judgmental, and kind. You are a blessing! Tricia W.

We had the best experience with my toddler at Chi Dermatology in Walnut Creek. My kiddo was apprehensive about going to the dermatologist for the first time but upon entering, they offered him a juice box and goldfish (aka toddler love language) and he started to warm up. Dr Chi took the time to listen, got down on my kiddo’s level, asked questions directly to them, and solved the mystery that no other doctor has solved for 3 years. I’m considering switching to her personally too because of her focus on the whole picture. We did have to wait 6 weeks for her availability but it was worth it and now my son is excited to return. The office staff - Sharon - couldn’t have been more lovely and accommodating as well!

Office has a clean, spa-like atmosphere. Staff is kind and helpful. Dr. Ikediobi is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and takes the time to speak with you. Amazing bedside manner and she really cares about her patients and the work she does. Out of all the physicians I’ve had, she is my absolute favorite. I highly recommended her.
