I was on the way to my appointment this morning when I was trying to be polite by attempting to reach out to customer service due to heavy traffic, but will still make it within the grace period. At the same time while being on the phone with their offshore line, I received a phone call stating I was late. I had scheduled an appointment for 10:40am for which they sent me an email AND left a voicemail confirmation for. They then tried to send me another confirmation email an hour before my appointment saying it was at 10:30am. The freeway then shut down at the Ygnacio exit due to a rollover accident. I called back explaining I definitely wasn’t going to make it within the grace period and I understand I will have to reschedule, but to please show me grace and give me one refill of my medicated shampoo as I work the rest of the week and will be out of town after that. Of course the answer was no, which again understand an annual is necessary to prescribe medication. However I have been seeing them for years with the same condition and only asked for one singular bottle of shampoo. When I stated (albeit… in a frustrated tone) that I will be willing to wait in the office until someone can see me, the response was "Fine I guess we’ll see you when we see you." I opted to turn around. This is not my first complication with this provider, and I understand the reception is just doing their job. However there have been previous instances of calling to cancel my appointments due to "lunch breaks for the NP’s". Then why book my appointment for that time?? None of the customer service is actually in office until you request a transfer. I’ve referred people who have had even worse experiences than I. I will not be returning here, not that they depend on my bill anyways as now they offer weight loss services… at a dermatology facility

Got a treatment with Dana who casually rolled in 20mins late to an 8am appt with no apology or explanation. Staff confirmed she was not in the building well into the appointment. I actually confronted her when she finally arrived bc I had to hustle to get myself there that early and have an early meeting. She told me it was standard for her to stroll in at a later window so the staff can set up the room (still no acknowledgement of wasting my time). Her staff was all there early and the room was ready so it was nonsense. A simple "I’m sorry" or "thanks for waiting" at any point could have resolved the situation, but instead she glowered at me and said nothing as if that was normal. Her posture was unbelievably unprofessional and rude. I will go out of my way to tell folks to avoid her and this place because of how dismissive and rude she was. Generally not advisable to get treatments from someone who could care less about their own professional standards let alone you.

I have been going to Danna Yang at Berman Skin Institute for several years now. They are always courteous, always timely with their appointments, and do a very thorough job - checking places for Sun damage that I never even thought of! I highly recommend them.

Made an appointment due to rash on my face. I was literally the only patient there. Was given an rx. After a few days the rash got Worst. Left several messages and was told I would receive a call back each time and was never contacted. They wanted me to come back in but, the customer service was so bad I decided I no longer wanted to go back. On another note the garage is very confusing and the elevator was not working. When I finally found the office they said that it is a big problem I’d find another dermatologist.

I'm shocked. I made an appointment with Dr. J.Arzeno,MD. Berman Skin Institute at Walnut Creek . Instead of a doctor, a nurse examined me. She prescribed an ointment and did a biopsy. She said the results would be at the next appointment. Two weeks later, the doctor was absent again. The nurse removed the stitches, took a photo, and handed me a printed copy of Patology Report. Now I'm searching online for information about my diagnosis from the report. I think I need a real doctor.

Unfortunately I won’t be going back. Horrible customer service experience. I was booked for a derm appointment and when I showed up, they told me they’re not sure why I was booked for the day and canceled right then and there. I even paid the $40 copay and they told me they couldn’t refund me and I had to wait until my next visit to use the credit. I had a facial appointment scheduled with Regan that has now been canceled the day of at least three or four times. This time around, I wasn’t even notified! I called with a question and they told me they’re not in the office today. No apologies, horrible experience, and they’ve taken money from me that they shouldn’t have. Save yourself the headache and find a better derm office!
