Advanced Dermatology – Sugar Land, TX

I’ve been a patient seeing Kendra for almost 15 years—just annual skin checks. She came highly recommended when I first moved to the Houston area. I recommend her to anyone who asks me about a good dermatologist. She is so efficient and thorough, and quick in her assessments. And very pleasant. She really cares about her patients as people. Advanced dermatology is lucky to have her on the team. My interactions with office staff through the years have always been positive. Every single employee works efficiently— with smiles and friendly attitudes.

I have been a patient at this practice for several years and have consistently had excellent experiences with the PA, Kendra. Due to a scheduling conflict, I booked an appointment with Dr. Sonoa Au for this visit. While Dr. Au was polite, I felt the appointment was extremely rushed and I did not have adequate time to ask important questions regarding my skin concern. The pace of the visit made it difficult to fully understand my condition or the proposed treatment plan. I typically do not leave reviews, but wanted to share my experience for others who value a more thorough, unhurried appointment and may prefer to schedule with a provider who allows more time for discussion. To add - as I was writing this review, I searched Dr. Sonoa Au’s name through these reviews and it seems others have had this exact issue with Dr. Au at this practice.

From the front door to check out, service was amazing. Very welcoming. Intake process was easily done online. Daisy helped with recommendations on treatment. She took the time to get to know me, was thorough and super friendly. I felt like a person instead of just a patient. Highly recommend them!!

Confused sums it up. I scheduled on line and picked to see an actual Dr. You changed it to a PA (Daisy). I received 4 different texts from 3 different phone numbers asking me to complete online paperwork. Each time I did and it said I was done. Then I get to the office and there are still have forms to complete. All of that to then have to answere similar questions for the nurse. I had the 2nd apt of the day 8:45 so I could get in and out - yet they were already 40 min behind. All that aside Daisy and her nurse were great! Through, pleasant "bedside" manner, explained everything as they went. In a nutshell aside from not seeing who I set the appointment with, completeing paperwork 4 times, and being behind schedule. I was pleased with the actual appointment.

I always have a great experience with Kendra. She is knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner. She gave me the "kitchen sink" to help with some hair loss that I’d been experiencing. Her combo has been quite effective. As a result, I’ve referred some friends to her so she can help them too. I have a few additional beauty things I’d like to address and will be coming here for help with those items too!

Very happy with the care received and my results so far for both myself and my son! Our treatment and care feels very personalized and tailored to us! All staff are very friendly and helpful!

Staff was great. I checked in smoothly, they made me aware of my copay. I was in the waiting area no more than 5 minutes before they put me in a room in the back. The technician that came and placed me in the room was very polite. The PA that came into assess me was polite as well. In total I spent maybe 20 minutes here at the office. Perfect in respects to time consideration.. My issue actually is with practices of the Western medical field. They do not look to treat what is wrong inside, they just put a Band-Aid on what shows up on the outside. Which makes you a continuous customer. Sad but true. She assessed my skin concerns, recommended a cream and to come back in 2 weeks in which I will have to then pay another copay to test out something else which will then require me to come back after another certain time frame. And on and on. Versus running tests first to know exactly what they're working with. Just wish they did things differently. Got some free samples at least.. To be fair I am quite disgruntled with Western medical practices overall.
