Front desk staff was ok, but the dr experience it was a total disappointment, she didn't do anything to help my son, a horrible useless experience with the female asian dr, or maybe she was just a nurse not a dermatologist because she didnt have a clue of anything going on with my son skin problems, I left so dissapointed I Do not recommend you to come here if you want decent medical treatment. also just looking at their sink it made me sick, unsanitary, dirty, place 🤢🤮

I feel the need to write a review to prevent others from having the same experience I did. I went to the OC Skin Institute early in 2025 to seek treatment for my eczema. My problem is not with Dr. Tony N Nakhla. Not only did I feel honored to work with someone who is very knowledgeable and has dedicated herself to finding improved treatments for eczema, but she also did a great job advocating for me with my health insurance in trying to get me on Dupixent. The issue I have is with the lack of communication with the front desk staff. Last year was the first time I had to pay for my own health insurance, and I didn't understand my copays. During my first visit, I asked the front desk girl if I had to pay a copay. She responded, saying no. However, it was only after I had 6 appointments that she informed me I was required to pay a copay and that I had a remaining balance, which I paid for that day. I decided to cancel my appointment that day because I did not want to pay another $85 just to be told again that my insurance still had not approved me for the medication. Furthermore, what infuriated me the most was that there was no communication whatsoever that I still had a pending balance. My bill was just sent to collections and was charged interest. Had I known earlier that I did have to pay a copay, I would have made a better financial decision for myself regarding my treatment. I realize, in hindsight, I should have also discussed my copays with my health insurance for clarification. Nonetheless, the lack of communication from the front staff informing me about my remaining balance after 6 visits is ridiculous. As patients, we not only have to make well-informed decisions about our treatment options but also decide what makes the most sense financially. If you had a great experience, that's just as valid as mine. So, please don’t let my experience make you hesitant to seek treatment. I share my experience so that hopefully others don’t have to go through the same thing I did.

The OC Skin Institute is fantastic. From the office personnel to the medical staff, right up to Dr. Nakhla himself, The OC Skin Institute has a customer focused culture. They treated me with care and respect, while exhibiting a sense of urgency with paperwork approvals and medical procedures. They have earned my patronage, and I would recommend The OC Skin institute to anyone needing the wide variety of services they provide.

Nice dermatology office! Very easy to cancel appointments and the office assistants were friendly. Quick to be seen on less busier days (Monday-Thursday). My skin wasn't problematic so the advice I was given was straightforward and worked right away (just needed suggestions on a daily skin care routine) but I can't speak for those who do have problematic skin. Good option to go back to if I do have a problem with my skin one day!

I made an appointment for my mother in law at OC Skin Institute after being rescheduled 3times at another Dermatology office. The front office staff were very welcoming and efficient. My mother in law had two biopsies done and she was very nervous. Danielle the medical assistant and Jackie the PA gave my mother in law wonderful care. They were communicative, professional and kind. We left the office with a sense of trust in the staff and their medical care .
