California Dermatology Institute

My doctor referred me to this clinic for skin care. I wanted to see the facility before scheduling an appointment because to see the quality of the facility. I arrived before lunch, the front door was locked the building was empty. There were delivery slips on the taped to the door. Their number did not go directly to California Dermatology, it was routed through another company. Then I was sent to an answering machine. The entire experience was creepy. I never want to go back there.

This visit to California Dermatology Institute was a complete waste of time. After my HMO referral was approved, their office called me repeatedly to schedule. When I finally answered a call at 7:10 PM on a Friday, I was told they wouldn’t schedule my appointment unless I completed all paperwork online first. The call lasted over 15 minutes and was unnecessarily frustrating. On the day of the appointment, parking was a nightmare. The driveway is extremely narrow, poorly marked, and shared with Del Taco. It took three passes to find it, and the lot is not suitable for large vehicles. Although the front desk staff was friendly and I was taken back promptly, the appointment itself was disappointing. I was referred due to a strong family history of melanoma and regular sun exposure. I was seen by PA Brevin Domingo. Despite explaining my concerns and requesting a full-body skin exam, the exam was very limited. No dermatoscope was used (I was told he didn’t have one), and the plan was simply to "monitor" areas or offer a mild steroid cream. This is no different from what my primary care doctor can do. The entire visit with the PA lasted about four minutes. I was referred to a dermatologist for a thorough, specialized exam, and that is not what I received. I left feeling that my time, insurance resources, and copay were wasted. I have been under dermatologic care for years and know what a proper exam should involve—this wasn’t it. I do not recommend this office. The physicians who run this practice should take note and actually see their patients. Do not waste your time if scheduled with Brevin the PA-C.

I visited the Brockton Riverside location. It did not feel like the PA was treating my visit for Melenoma checkup as a medical visit. Seemed to be just going through motions and focused more on recommendations for other skin problems like acne. He even forgot to check my face where I have lots of moles, i remembered as I was leaving and had to go back to ask him to check them. Didn’t feel like it was medically professional. Not a place I’d ever go back to. They are more of an aesthetics clinic.

unfortunately , I can’t give them negative stars . When you go see a dermatologist you assume they’re going to look at your skin I went for hair and skin psoriasis .They didn’t even bother to look just wrote a prescription and of course they didn’t work out and now I’m back at Square one. Didn’t bother to tell me I had ringworm cause he didn’t look at it. . Run the other direction. This place is ridiculous.

THE WORST PLACE TO COME!! they never answer the phone and I never got my medication!! I paid and nothing!! Do not come here!!

I can totally stay on my program and eat healthy here!

The staff and doctor were very friendly and professional. No wait time a plus.
