Kind, thorough and very knowledgeable dermatologist, especially with kids. Staff is extremely kind and efficient. Never felt rushed and the staff all had a kind word and smile despite having a stressful job. Highly recommend.

Great pediatric dermatologist! My son had a vascular hemangioma on his eye, starting at 2 weeks old. It kept getting bigger and bigger. We saw Dr. Shinn when he was almost 2 months old due to the severity. She cares, listened to our concerns, and was good with our son. Her treatment plan worked. She even called me to see if the medicine she prescribed was working.Thank God for good doctors! He's 3 now and you can hardly notice he had a mass on his eye. Thank you Dr. Shinn!

Dr. Shinn was extremely unprofessional. She was very rude and arrogant and spoke to us in a condescending tone the whole visit. I would not recommend her, especially if you’re worried about your child’s skin. I would recommend that you go to someone who actually enjoys their job and isn’t so egotistical.

Love this Dr! She found my malignant skin cancer and got me straight over to VCU with the BEST oncology team. I am cancer free!!!
