Hazel J. Vernon, M.D.

Dr. Vernon was great. She was straightforward, sharp, quick and cured what I had going on. Going back after 2 years I could not get in to see her and was left with a new practitioner- omg what an awful experience. I had tinea and dermatitis. She took a look at my body and was like "I think these are bug bites" lol what? Turning around she is like "hmm maybe not its hard to tell with everything you have going on" omg get me out of here! She treated me with a steroid and a topical that cost $65 and burned my skin.

HORRIBLE receptionist. "We don’t have availability till next year…" that’s fine, I’ll take whatever soonest availability you guys have and then she hung up on me!!! Dr. Vernon, I advise hiring a new receptionist! I’ve worked in doctors offices doing this same job, you don’t hang up on people. I wasn’t even rude or anything like that. Literally said "that’s fine I’ll take your soonest availability!" Then she hung up. Sounds like she doesn’t want to do her job tbh….

Dr. Vernon is very knowledgeable about my skin condition and she gave great instructions on home care. Her nurse is absolutely the sweetest you can imagine. I gave 3 stars because Dr. Vernon is out (I'm sorry for her injury and I wish her a quick recovery) and my condition is steadily deteriorating and she won't be back for another month. Having your patients in limbo is not cool. I can't even call because she has to authorize everything. I don't want to switch doctors but I hate sitting in awful pain. 5 stars for knowledgeable staff and great attitude of the doctor. 2 stars for sitting in limbo.

The worst, most conceited, rude, and downright BAD dermatologist I've ever been to. She *yelled* at me for my personal experiences and frustrations battling a chronic skin condition, and I felt so embarassed I had to leave immediately after the appointment and swore I'd never go back. Does not understand a thing about implementing patient-centered or empathetic care.

Dr. Vernon is an amazing, knowledgeable dermatologist. She is quick, straight to the point & absolutely knows exactly what she’s talking about! I was very happy when I was seen by her.

Rude and seem disinterested in treating my son. First question was what did I even hope to get out of this. I'm thinking my peditirican sent me here for eczema dummy. Asked if I heard of a wet suit which I said I saw them online and proceeded to act like I was a doctor Google. Least she gave us some medicine and discuss how to incorporate eucresia.

The billing department is very rude, I had questions and for every question I asked for which they have the information, I was asked did I have a way to look it up. If that was the case I wouldn’t have asked for help from them.
