My husband went in for a cold sore on his lip. They dug a huge hole out for testing. Did not stich it up. It did not heal up and he was misdiagnosed for oral cancer that he now has.

Disappointing Experience - Felt Uninformed and Unheard I recently visited this dermatology office and, while the nurse was very attentive in gathering all my concerns, my experience with the doctor was not what I had hoped for. The doctor quickly examined me, but instead of explaining the findings in a way I could understand, she only communicated with the nurse using medical terms. Unfortunately, I was left unsure about my skin concerns and how to better care for them. I also had to remind the doctor about other concerns I had shared with the nurse, as they were not addressed initially. This made me feel uncomfortable, as if my concerns were not fully valued. Additionally, the doctor prescribed a medication that I had mentioned did not work for me in the past, without discussing other potential options or solutions. I left feeling that my concerns weren’t fully acknowledged.

As a new patient with extensive sun damage, I expected a thorough exam and had questions. Dr. Krystal Nakamura was in & out in under 10 minutes, leaving me the impression I wasn't worth her time. She didn't communicate any observations to me, didn't ask any questions, and it was all I could do to keep her in the room to discuss 1 of my questions. The front desk staff and her assistant were all kind & courteous, however I don't recommend wasting your time & money to see Dr. Krystal Nakamura.

After having a rather bad experience with another Doctor, I was hesitant about seeing another. However, I found my experience with Dr. Nakamura to be a pleasant surprise. She was professional but friendly, thorough but gentle, kind and considerate to both my husband and myself. Having been an RN in several leadership capacities for 46 years, I don't like to be talked "down" to, and Dr. Nakamura did not do that. She spoke to me as an equal rather than a lay person, which was greatly appreciated. Her assistant was also very kind and considerate and her office staff are very friendly and helpful . I will definitely recommend her to others.

The receptionist Lisa is rude and doesn't handle things professionally. That's her job to set appointments, take notes, answer calls, and filing. She seems like her job is so hard, maybe she should find another occupation. She was Very rude not polite or even trying to make your appointment easy to make. If you are looking for a nice respectful and caring environment I would go elsewhere. They cannot even speak professional on the phone well trying to handle a appointment for your 12 year old. They were going to extract a cyst by a evaulation in February, not knowing of it had changed from February to June on a child. Not even seeing the new doctor just going off notes! That's the care they were going to do on a child.

Dr. Krystal Nakamura and Yvonne provide outstanding patient services. You could not ask for a more professional team. In addition, Rebecca and Karen provide excellent support services for patients. Easy access to the office and just feel like family and very well cared for.

Just left the dermatologist office. I was appalled at how I was treated like a second hand citizen from Mr. Nakurama. I totally disagree with his diagnosis and treatment. He bluntly stated that, "anyone would be lucky to see him with his 30 years of experience!" I was there for my daughter, and I told him I was thinking about coming to see him for myself. Before I was able to get a word in, he rudely cut me off and dismissed us. My opinion, the drive up to Colorado Springs or Denver is worth avoiding this location! Maybe if this establishment can learn some manners, their ratings, may perhaps grow in 5-10 years.
