Olam Med Spa

I took my 13-year-old son for an acne treatment (carbon laser), and after 8 weeks his skin is 1000 times worse than before the procedure. The Dr. told me to expect a breakout for about two weeks, but what we are experiencing is far beyond that. By week 4 after the treatment, I started calling Olam’s office because his skin was becoming increasingly inflamed. I sent photos by text, left messages, and repeatedly asked the Dr. to call me back. When she finally called, in week 7, after much insistence, her attitude was defensive from the beginning. She only repeated that this was "hormonal acne because of his age," something I already understood, and did not acknowledge the severity of his reaction or the fact that it followed the laser treatment. Instead of offering medical guidance or support, she blamed me, saying I had not taken proper care of my son’s skin and that I had "abandoned the treatment" because I did not schedule a facial cleansing appointment that was mentioned at the front desk immediately after the carbon laser, when my son’s face was still very inflamed. Since my calls and messages were ignored, I had no way of knowing what they considered critical follow-up care. At the end, the lady abruptly ended the conversation and hung up on me. This showed a complete lack of empathy and concern for a minor patient, as well as a total lack of respect and professionalism toward me. I later consulted a pediatric dermatologist who stated that this treatment was not appropriate for my son’s skin type and condition, and a facial cleansing should NOT be done on inflamed skin after a carbon laser. I asked to speak with the manager to provide my feedback privately, but I never received a response. That is why I am leaving this public review. This experience was deeply distressing as a parent. There was no follow-up care, no accountability, no medical support, and no compassion. Instead, I was blamed and dismissed while trying to protect my child. I truly hope no other parent has to go through this.

Olam Spa is the place to go for all you aesthetic needs. The staff is very friendly, kind and knowledgeable. They make you feel like family from the moment you walk in. Dr. Andrea is an amazing physician. On my first consultation, 2 years ago, I told the doctor I was not expecting a miracle but of her making me look 10 years younger, I simply wanted to not look tired and have a refreshed look. She explained the different types of procedures and treatments that she recommended to achieve my objective. I have never been disappointed with the treatments or the outcome of any of my procedures. Here I am 2 years later still being treated by Dr Andrea and her wonderful staff!!

I've tried to get in contact with them fo the past 2 days by phone and email to book an appointment for 3 people and nobody answered the phone nor replied to my email. Reply: I did call 3 times and sent a message via instagram for the promotion you had until Nov 8th I believe. It wasn’t a group booking I was trying to do, it was for my wife, son and I. Don’t try to make it sound like my review is fake or inaccurate.

The staff at Olam Med Spa are the best! Everyone was so friendly. Andrea was amazing! She was patient, answered all my questions and did an amazing job with my lip filler!
