Had a visit for my son (a young adult with special needs/autism) with Dr. Maria Trinh today. She was wonderful, attentive, and caring. She kindly listened to and addressed my concerns. She answered my questions and was very professional and caring with my son as well. She took the time to do a thorough exam. We were referred to this facility by my son's primary care physician and am so happy with the service so far on this initial consultation. The staff is great too! There is metered parking out front as well as their own "pay to park" parking structure.

Dr William shipment and staff were absolutely wonderful. First time there they removed a few items one on my eye that was really bothering me I feel just so relieved. He is very thorough and I will be coming back for any other issues highly recommend you found the right doctor.

I'm sure PA Trinh is qualified, knowledgeable and very capable. I received a "head to toe" exam and she was thorough and professional. However, I felt rushed and didn't feel I connected with her on a personal level. She was quick, polite and informative but seemed ready to move on to the next patient. Thank you PA Trinh, it was nice meeting you.

The office is very nice and welcoming from the moment you walk in. Dr. Shipman is extremely personable and patient, and really takes the time to listen. Laura, the assistant, was wonderful and made me feel very comfortable while dealing with sensitive issues. Highly recommend this dermatology office!

This was my first appointment and first experience at skin and Beauty Center, Pasadena.I was taken inside in a timely manor and was greeted by the nurse assisting Dr. William Shipman. She began to proceed and ask me questions on why we were here for this visit today. My son, who is a newly teenager, has entered in his mild acne break out Era and I wanted some constructive feedback on how to handle his skin. I was immediately asked if I would use prescription medication. I then proceeded to tell the nurse that I don’t think we’re there yet since this is his first visit and introduction to Dermatology. I would like to see what our other solutions would be when visiting the doctor. I proceeded to tell her about the cleanser that I would like to use and would want to consult the doctor if this would be a good choice. She took a few pictures of my sons skin and told me that the doctor would be in shortly. Doctor Shipman entered in the room in a timely manner as well. And began to have a discussion about prescription medication for acne. He knew I was hesitant about prescriptions since the nurse had already told him that I would be opposed to that. He seemed offended, and I began to proceed to tell him that I’m not here to offend you or his medical expertise. I would just like a consultation before we jump to prescription.He hadn’t even seen my son up close yet or assed his skin. His skin breakouts are very mild in my opinion and don’t need a prescription just yet. He had just assessed him from a few photos that the nurse had taken. He didn’t examine him. He just stood back and began to lecture me on RX medicine. I told him that I would not be buying any medication today and he proceeded to give me two over-the-counter options number one, Salicylic acid 2% And benzyl peroxide wash 4%. He said use this for about three months and if it does not work, then come back and get prescription medication. I was in and out of my appointment in about 20 minutes. I felt rushed, over looked, and frankly ridiculed for lack of knowledge of acne medication. I’ve been to a few dermatologist office’s myself and for my older child and never was I met such oversight. It was an un informative appointment and a waste of time. Rushing to make a 415 appointment after work to make sure I get speak to a person of expertise was not an easy task. If I knew it was going to be that kind of appointment I would done more research at home.
