Mark A. McCune, MD

Dr McCune has been caring for me for over 30 years. I have had multiple skin cancers of all types including melanoma. Dr McCune has always taken care of me like family and I hardly know what to do now that he is retiring. On more than one occasion he worked me to the front of his schedule when he felt concern was immediate. He is an encyclopedia of knowledge and I know his staff is going to feel lost without his wisdom. Thank you Dr McCune for decades of sincere care and concern. I always felt I was in the very best of hands. You will be much missed.

THE BEST CONSULTATION! Today, I went to see Dr. McCune about a couple of procedures and first talked with Theresa prior to talking with him. My wait was only about 10 minutes. The consultation with my husband and I was around and hour. Theresa talked briefly with us first about the procedures we are interested in and then Dr. McCune came in and discussed them further. He was very thorough with questions so that we could go forward with the best possible treatment. I am eager to continue and determine when I can have the procedure I came to learn about.

Expect to wait over an hour or longer to get into your appt. I've been here multiple times and every visit has taken 1-2 hours or longer. If you are someone who has a tight schedule, you might consider if you have 1-3 or more hours to spare. Epiphany operates like nobody's time, except for theirs is valuable. It's always an uncomfortable experience because you can't plan your day very well when you schedule with them.

I have been going to this office for about 7 years now. The doctors and staff are excellent but the wait time is RIDICULOUS. My yearly check took over an hour and a half last year, most of which was spent in the waiting room. I had an appointment for this week and asked the receptionist if they were running on time and she replied that they were. I waited 20 minutes in the waiting area and then she notified me that she'd just found out that the NP was running another 20 minutes behind. I rescheduled my appointment and appreciated the receptionist letting me know since I'd already wasted 20 minutes and the 20 minutes it takes me to get back and forth from my office. I left work to go to the appointment and I don't have an hour to wait just to get into a room. I think they are scheduling too many appointments per hour and then everyone just has to wait. If it happens again, I will find a new practice.

Wait time is unacceptable!!! My appointment was at 2:30 pm. Waited to be called back for about 15 minutes. Once in the room and directed to strip to only my underwear in a cold exam room I waited another 45 minutes to be seen. I took paid time off work for this. My time is valuable. Why do doctors think this is acceptable? Got news for you, it’s not!!!

I went to this facility with after battling a horrible outbreak from head to toe with psoriasis many years ago. At that time, I had no true diagnosis. I went to at least 5 other doctors before trying this office. Once I got into the room, the dermatologist asked me what was going on. I unzipped my jacket and she was alarmed. She said she had never seen anything like it before. She immediately called Dr. McCune and he came in to assist her. Dr. McCune was so brilliant and thorough. He immediately started explaining to her the issues with my skin. He set me up on medications that I started seeing results immediately. He had a biopsy done to ensure we were on the proper path. No other doctor has ever taken the time to resolve my issues the way he did, won’t do biopsies and only offer steroid treatments. I was so thankful to see him. Unfortunately, I do not live in the state anymore. But I am considering incurring travel expenses to be treated by him now for current issues that no doctors can seem to treat. I see some people are unhappy with the wait time. After visiting 5 doctors, spending tons of money on the visits, medications and missing days from work... being treated at this facility and actually having true results and resolutions to my problem would be well worth the wait. An example of how the doctor can be late... I had an appointment but it was not with Dr. McCune. They pulled him from wherever he was to give me the necessary attention my case needed. So that probably happens with many others and I can be understanding of that.

The initial consult went well enough, but when I came in for a simple procedure, after waiting for an hour and 30 minutes I mentioned it to the nurse and the response was "yea we usually run a little behind". I was then told it would be another 15 minutes. So if you make an appointment, plan on it taking half of your day. Other than that, dr McCune is very caring and knowledgeable.
