H. Tina Kim, M.D.

Great dermatologist! She's kind, knowledgable, very thorough and takes a lot of time to address your concerns. She one of the best dermatologists in the area that I've visited. I would highly recommend seeing her if you want a doctor that cares about your well being and giving you the results you are seeking.

Dr. Hui-Kyung Tina Kim, MD, is an excellent and caring Dermatologist in Newport Beach, California. She is a good listener, patient, and understanding of the patient's concerns, Dr. Kim 's goal is to remedy the current skin condition to full satisfaction. My overall experience attests to this. I am very grateful for Dr. Kim's expertise. I see her for routine skin cancer screening (I spent a lot of my childhood/teens in the sun), and for the occasional 'spots' that have to be removed. She also made a huge improvement on a facial scar (result of an auto accident), with a very skillful use of a dermal filler. It was very easy to explain my skin/appearance concerns and objectives with her, and she very carefully explained what result I could expect. I find her personality to be so very pleasant and calming, and up-beat. A family member sees her as well. We never experienced any difficulty with getting refills of prescriptions, as someone commented. The staff has always been very efficient and accommodating.

I do not recommend this office. They were very unwelcoming and unprofessional. Dr. Kim made me feel so uncomfortable. During my examination she kept asking "what else" over and over again as if she didn’t want to be there. She spoke as if she had no dermatology experience or education. She examined me, told me my conditions, never explained what they were, and spoke to me as if I was unintelligent. She never even sent in my antibiotic prescriptions to the pharmacy until a couple days after my appointment when I called in about it. This was the worst doctors appointment I’ve ever experienced. If I could rate less I would.

Dr Kim is so knowledgeable and responsive to my family’s derm issues. Both my kids/teens have had skin issues (acne & the occasional odd skin virus) that Dr Kim handled quickly and proactively to get results. Scheduling appointments due to sudden skin changes was handled promptly and we’ve never felt rushed in her office. Bonus is that she ensures our prescriptions are filled the most economical way with our insurance plan.

Learning I had skin cancer was scary, but Dr. Kim made the removal process easy, her office cordinate my surgey scheduling for me. She calmed my nerves about the kind of cancer I had, educated me on how to prevent more skin cancers (sunscreen) and was more concerned about minimal scarring than I was. A great doctor's office and a great doctor. Thank you Dr. Kim

My 15 year old daughter had an appointment with Dr. Kim for hair loss. She didn't diagnose anything and wasn't sure about her "diagnosis". After I explained what happened prior to the hair loss, she recommended taking Biotin, or if I was comfortable, my daughter can use Rogaine!!!! We ended up paying $135 for an unproductive visit.
