Schweiger Dermatology Group - Murray Hill

This is a dishonest office, who is fine taking your money rather than fixing a mistake on their end. I made an appointment for an annual full skin check. When I arrived for the appointment, I confirmed with the nurse that I was there for a full skin check. She then asked me if there was anything in particular I wanted to flag for the doctor, so I mentioned a spot that had changed color recently. The doctor came in and looked at that spot, and then told me that was the end of my appointment. I repeated that I was there for a full skin check, and was told I would need to make a new appointment (and pay again) for that. They refused to perform that exam that I booked and paid for. I confirmed again with the front desk, who told me that I had, in fact, booked the correct full skin check. I asked the front desk to talk to the doctor, as that was the exam that I really needed to do and I had already paid. The front desk allegedly went to talk to the doctor, but after 20 minutes of waiting and no one was willing to speak to me, or even look at me, I finally left because I felt so uncomfortable. I would not recommend this office. The way this issue was handled (or rather, not handled at all) was majorly offensive, and I am still out $75.

Dr. Nezis was incredibly rude and did not care for my concerns at all. More than that I had to convince them to even just help me pluck a small hair I could not reach and then they billed that as a whole service as an ingrown hair. I will not go back.

I had a great experience at Schweiger dermatology group, the staff it’s friendly and cordial. I scheduled my appointment for the same day which was really important for me and what I was going thru. They digested and treated me immediately. They take most insurance I will definitely keep consulting with them

I booked online and hoped for the best not really knowing what to expect. The office staff was very professional and got me onboarded quickly. I was brought into the doctor right on time and got great care and solutions for my eczema. The office is conveniently located in midtown. So glad I found them!

Doctor Verhave barely spent 2 minutes with me. Charged me for a full 30 minutes session. All they care about is money. Total scam. Stay away.

The woman I met with in office was very nice but she told me transparently she couldn’t see me for more than 10 minutes which in my opinion it is very rushed not only for an annual but also to complete a small procedure. It seemed less patient first and more focused on profitability. Additionally there were many mistakes in my billing that took forever to be rectified. Unfortunately I would not visit here again nor would I recommend for others.

Extremely disappointed in my most recent experience and will not be returning. After multiple years of being a patient, and multiple annual preventative skin exams, I am now told that Schweiger Dermatology does not perform/provide preventative procedures from an insurance perspective and have been charged hundreds of dollars for my annual skin exam. If you are looking to receive a skin exam that is considered an annual preventative review do NOT come to this business. They will code the procedure as a normal office visit to scam you out of your money.
