Lubbock Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center North

Dr. Hope and his staff are absolutely amazing. They are all knowledgeable and kind. They are all so sweet and patient. I am so happy that I was was referred to them. They are simply amazing. Edited to add. I've never had a long wait time, usually within 10 minutes of arriving. The nurses are promptly in the room as I get there and the doctor is roughly there 5 min later. I had a check up yesterday and ended up needing a biopsy and was there a total 45 min from checking in to checking out. I highly recommend Dr. Hope and his wonderful staff.

The office atmosphere is nice and clean, but I can't say much for the staff. My first visit here was great. Jennifer Gamez was personable and explained everything to me, and answered any questions I had concerning my skin issue. My ears had been chronically itching since 2012 due to misdiagnoses by ENTs and she provided the first real attempt at finding a solution to what was now diagnosed as a skin condition. I was given paper copies of prescriptions to take to "my" pharmacy when I left, not knowing I was supposed to go to a specialist pharmacy in town. That was a mess and took 2 weeks of repeated phone calls to staff to try and get a copy faxed to the correct pharmacy. Today went in for a recheck. I arrived nearly 10 minutes before my scheduled time, and was in the parking lot before they even opened. I checked in, and to my annoyance, was left sitting waiting in a non-busy waiting room for 30 minutes past my scheduled time. When I went and asked about 8:40 what the issue was, I did tell them I had to go to work and I couldn't wait much longer. I was told at 8:42 I was "next". By 8:45, I still hadn't been called back, so I told the receptionists to cancel and I was leaving. My time is just as valuable as any doctor or nurse, and with how "un busy" they were, to me there was no excuse for this. I was already not super impressed post appointment last time, and I'm definitely not impressed now. I doubt I will ever be back and I doubt anyone will follow up to apologize for being rude and disregarding their patients' time. I understand running behind....but a courtesy notice that that is the case would be nice and, well, courteous. Guess we can't be late for appointments but it's okay for staff to be that late when they aren't even busy! Wouldn't even give a single star if I didn't have to.

Lubbock Dermatology is fantastic. It is the go to medical facility for my entire family. With so much stress in our life and a long time exposure to sun, it is critical to have a facility that never fails to have answers. Dr Hope and Dr Clark along with their colleagues are always there with a smile, compassion and total support. My life is so enriched having them to call on when I need help.

Dr. Hope and his staff are extremely efficient and very friendly. I appreciate them very much and would recommend them to anyone.

Great bunch of pretty girls. They took care of me with a great sense of humor. They tolerated my silliness with grace.

Dr. Hope was very kind to me and my wife. Explained everything to us. His team is awesome and very friendly. I enjoy coming to Lubbock to his office.

Dr. Hope and staff were courteous and professional with the exams. I was told how to care for my skin in language I understood. I had a good night's sleep without itching for the first time in a very long time.
