This was my first dermatology appt., and LR derm was recommended. I saw Alex the PA; do NOT recommend seeing her! I went in to have a couple sun spots/freckles checked out and to discuss prescription skincare. I was called back a few mins before my appt time and was walking out of the building at my exact appt time; Alex spent 9 minutes with me. She looked over my face and body, and told me to wear sunscreen. Pointed out a couple of spots on my body and again, told me to wear sunscreen. I asked if I had any marks of concern and she just kept saying "I don’t have to cut off anything yet, but wear sunscreen." I asked what products I could use, she said "sunscreen. 50spf outside and 30spf when inside bcas even the light from your phone is damaging the skin on your face." Ok, cool. What else can I do? "Wear sunscreen." I asked for the 4th time, is there anything on my skin I should be worried about. Alex - "well there’s nothing I have to cut off yet." She said this statement to me multiple times. She told me I had some flat brown spots, didn’t explain what they were, what caused them, how to deal with them.. Did not explain to me anything about the spots I came in to have checked, just kept telling me ad nauseam to wear sunscreen. I asked for the 4th or 5th time what kind of products I could use and also asked her what products she could prescribe AND SHE WOULD NOT OFFER ME ANY PRODUCTS OTHER THAN SUNSCREEN. She also has this air where it feels like she is looking down upon you? I don’t think she wanted to help me at all. I am 40 and already have a quality skincare regimen, but was really looking for some expert advice, as I grew up in the sun and I just wanted to start keeping an eye on my skin. But I left feeling worse than when I arrived, more worried for my skin spots, and leery about visiting another derm clinic, concerned I’d be treated the same way. Alex could not have been more unengaged, uncaring, and unhelpful. Alex was a horrible first experience at a dermatology clinic. I have since found a new clinic that treated me wonderfully from visit one, but Alex at LR Dermatology is NOT it.
Dr. Wayne was amazing, he clearly explained my diagnosis and treatment plan in a way that made total sense. It only took a few days on the treatment plan and care regimen for me to see results. I've been going to another Doc for nearly 3 years and continued struggling with itchy spots and rashes. I only wish I would have seen Dr. Wayne sooner!!
I’ve struggled with acne and scarring for years, and after a car accident last March, my skin concerns felt overwhelming. Dr. Manning and Madison (the best esthetician) have been incredible—helping me heal my accident scars while continuing to treat my acne and acne scarring. I truly love coming here. The care is genuine, the staff is so kind, and the results speak for themselves. I can’t recommend them enough!!
I made my first visit to this clinic strictly because I thought I had skin cancer (I did) and couldn't get in any other clinic for over 2 months. My first Dr was a founder, but retired a month later. Second visit was another Dr (can't remember who). Called to get in about another suspected cancer and the only Dr. with an opening was Dr. Kagy. I'm SO happy he did. After struggling with chronic Rosacea for years and no help, Dr. Kagy came up with a plan that FINALLY worked. He is very kind and listens to anything I have to talk about. I highly suggest Dr. Kagy to anyone needing a Dermatologist.
My doctor does not do anything that she says she's going to do when I'm in the office at my appointment. My appointment was over two weeks ago and I was told I would receive a referral for an allergist that day. I've had to call three times about this issue and I still have not received a referral. I should have been immediately referred to an allergist after my patch test came back that I was allergic to over 10 common ingredients, but the doctor failed to do so and still will not.
After being treated for almost 6 months by another clinic, with zero improvement, I decided I had probably been misdiagnosed. Visited Dr. Manning at LR Dermatology who changed my meds, and within one week my skin disorder had improved by almost 90%! Highly recommend this physician and clinic.
Dr. Morgan is awesome. He is knowledgeable and took the time to explain what he was doing. I am so glad that I made the switch to Little Rock Dermatology Clinic.
