Advanced Dermatologic Surgery

This was a great experience, they were kind and caring I would highly recommend this place to anyone. The wait was not that bad, they had tv's, snacks, drinks. Reilly was my nurse for the surgery, she made me feel so at ease and less stressed. Dr. Hocker and his staff are the best, nice to see that EXCELLENT customer service is still around! Dr. Hocker was fantastic. On time, very thorough and professional. He obviously knows his stuff… thank you.!! Olivia his assistant was so kind and exceptional. Her deadening with a needle was almost unrecognizable needed for a biopsy.. what an enjoyable experience going to the doctor..!!!

I had another great experience at this dermatology office. Nurse Reilly was fantastic — friendly, professional, and made the visit enjoyable. They even had music playing, and Reilly and Dr. Hocker were joking about what it was. Reilly said it sounded like Italian scat… which we later realized is actually a real thing 😂 It made the whole appointment feel relaxed and human. Dr. Hocker is an excellent doctor. I’ve been here before, and he truly leaves no scar — honestly, he could be a plastic surgeon. His skill and attention to detail really stand out. I’ve also been helped by Nurse Sara in the past, and she was wonderful as well. Overall, a great team, great care, and an office that makes you feel comfortable every time.

I cannot put into words how appreciative I am of Dr. Hocker and his incredible team. I had my second MOHS surgery this morning and the experience I had was a night and day difference from the experience with my first (performed at a hospital in town). From the second I walked in, the staff was kind and comforting. I was very, very nervous and they did everything to reassure me and help me stay comfortable. Dr. Hocker was meticulous but also quick - all while maintaining great, calm conversation to keep me at ease. I wish I could give six stars. If you have to have a MOHS procedure, I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend going to see Dr. Hocker. Special shout out to Alli and Quinn - you gals are saints 🤍

This is my second procedure with Dr Hocker and his staff. My first was an excision in the Fall of 2024. Now you can barely see the scar on my chest. The procedure was totally painless. I then had a growth removed from my lower eyelid. After his staff prepped me with a local anesthetic, I thought Dr Hocker came in to discuss the upcoming procedure but before I knew it, the procedure was over. My wife also had a Mohs procedure the same week and had an awesome experience too. We are blessed to have Dr Hocker in the Kansas City area. His skills and his bedside manner are second to none. His staff is top notch too. Thank you ADS for making a stressful situation a total breeze.

This was one of the best experiences I have had at a medical clinic in a long time. The customer service was excellent. From the front of the house, to the nurses and techs, to the doctors, everyone was friendly, kind and respectful. They took the time to explain every step of the process and answered all my questions patiently and knowledgeably. The waiting time was not that bad and they had several comfortable waiting rooms with coffee and snacks every step of the way. A special shout out to Jenna, who was my nurse from beginning to end. She was kind, patient, and very knowledgeable about the entire process. She took a very stressful situation and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. Thank you to the whole Advanced Dermatologic team for the great experience!

Dr. Hocker and his entire team are fabulous. They have a very clear and understandable process, which reduced stress for me as a "white-coat syndrome" patient. They are all extremely caring and professional. They put me at ease all day, not an easy thing to do. They even did follow-up after the surgery. I cannot recommend them to you any more highly for any of your needs in this important area of life and health. I only wish I could give them 6 stars.
