I had a great experience at Tanner Clinic! Dr Kevin Sumsion is a fantastic doctor who really took the time to take care of me. The whole process was smooth & easy. I highly recommend him and his clinic. I will definitely be back!
Tanner Clinic has been so helpful and went out of their way in helping make the earliest appointment possible. Even placed me on a waiting list for anyone canceling before my appointed date. The building is always clean. Doesn't smell like chemicals. Plenty of staff to assist in any way. All in all, they are very professional and structured intelligently to provide great service.
It was very easy and quick to make an appointment at Tanner clinic for our eye exams. They were friendly and helpful providing me the address making sure I had all the information. There were text reminders for the visit several times and the ability to add it to my calendar, which is very helpful on the go. The day of the appointment Tanner clinic was on time, the front desk was helpful and considerate, especially considering it was very early in the morning. Vision staff was also helpful and considerate, making sure I had all my questions answered and providing me exactly what I needed for my next steps.
I had the best experience seeing Dr Laura Foote today. Exceptionally knowledgeable with the issues i’ve been having. she addressed all my concerns without making me feel rushed in any way. i waited less than 5 minutes in the waiting room before my exam. and a very small wait time in her office once i was called back. i love a doctor that believes your time is as valuable as theirs. amazing bedside manner. i felt very heard and cared for. she gave me advice, remedies & a diagnosis i have never heard from other doctors in the field that ive seen my entire adult life without addressing my issues and helping me to manage so i can function better. in a world where healthcare is taking a nosedive, being in her office and seeing her was like the good old fashioned medical care we once knew. so refreshing!! her office & building is beautiful too!! very high end!! Thank you Dr Foote!!!
Tanner Clinic has great doctors. But their office staff needs some training. If you have a late policy posted, everyone on staff does not need to remind you of the late policy (from the secretary by text and then again in person and then again by the nurse in person). I get it! You have a late policy. Also, they turned away a woman who was 10 minutes late who was in a wheelchair that had to wheel across the parking lot from the old building. Instead of trying to squeeze her in, they told her to reschedule. Do you know how hard it is for someone in a wheelchair to get to a doctor's appointment? I usually love Tanner Clinic, but this past month has left me very disappointed in their customer service. I would hope they could learn to have more compassion and understanding and realize how hard we work to make it to our doctor's appointments.
After several years I’ve noticed: Very old buildings and I honestly wonder about fire safety. Difficult and confusing to find the providers, as they have a couple different buildings in a cluster that are not easily marked. Tanner clinic is behind in technology unfortunately, and communication is also a little rough, especially with younger receptionists. Billing department has not been clear enough and we have had episodes of condescending shame given where inappropriate communication by them was the problem. Sleep clinic was extremely concerning and is in the basement with no windows. How’s this to code?? I went in for a sleep study and smoke/exhaust fumes from a nearby gas station was pumped into the room I was in through a vent to the outside without being filtered. (The employees told me this.) It was so strong I was to the point of being unable to sleep, so I had to reschedule for another clinic. These experiences span over the last few years, but I feel they’re valid concerns and that too often medical establishments need honest feedback because patients can feel afraid to offer it, concerned they won’t receive optimal care afterwords. I appreciate my PCP and those I’ve seen who genuinely care about the humanity of healthcare, but feel it can be overlooked with processes and lack of polite communication. Safe building structures also should be considered.
Dr. Johnson has always provided good care and I’m a fairly new patient. He is so kind and was willing to take every precaution which gave me great comfort I’m in the best hands! His staff listens to my concerns and aids me in getting in for treatment timely!
