Johns Creek Dermatology

I’ve been using this practice for 15 years + and now drive quite a distance to see Dr Timani. I have to say that the service is outstanding and just continues to exceed my expectations. Dr Timani always goes out of her way to answer questions, spend time with you, offer solutions etc. the staff is very friendly and caring. I use this practice for dermatology needs as well as med spa services. All top notch!

Dr Timani has been a great provider for my husband who has had a terrible battle with dermatitis. She is kind, listens and cares about her patients. She is very professional. We are thankful to have found her!

I have been a patient of Johns Creek Dermatology for nearly 10 years. Dr. Timani and Dr. Zack are compassionate, extremely trained, skilled, knowledgeable and experienced. Dr. Timani has a particularly keen eye resulting in timely, proactive treatments. The entire staff runs as a well oiled machine. I give JCD max number of stars.

My first encounter with Johns Creek Dermatology was very disappointing. As a new patient to Johns Creek Dermatology, I was denied services because I refused to provide my social security number! The unfriendly receptionist obtained my driver's license and my insurance card and collected another pack of paperwork. Plenty of my personal information was shared for the office people to file any medical claims. SSN was absolutely unnecessary. Well, even though they will tell you it's a standard policy, it's actually not. I haven't encountered any offices in my experience that made it a mandatory policy and denied service if you refuse to provide it. For me as a patient, my privacy and security isn't worth unreasonable policies and even though, I haven't met Dr. Timani, but this incident casts a shadow on the practice that doesn't want to follow the suggestion of the American Medical Association. In fact, the American Medical Association issued an "Identity Fraud" policy [H-190.963] nearly a decade ago stating: "Our AMA policy is to discourage the use of Social Security numbers to identify insureds, patients, and physicians, except in those situations where the use of these numbers is required by law and/or regulation". And another fact: "according to the HIPAA Journal, between 2009 and 2017, there were 2,181 reported healthcare data breaches that resulted in the theft or exposure of 176,709,305 healthcare records. This equates to more than 50 percent of the population of the United States. Moreover, nearly half of all healthcare organizations that responded to a 2016 survey by the Ponemon Institute stated they had little or no confidence that they could detect the loss or theft of patient data, and that most of them lacked the budget to secure their data". I am sure the numbers are even bigger in recent years. Is it worth it to give out my social security number to the doctor? Absolutely, not! Because I don't want to receive an apology letter after another case of data breach and my identity being stolen because of the office police. Meanwhile, I will find another provider and make sure I alert enough people around Johns Creek via social media and in person about the Johns Creek Dermatology office where they disregard HIPAA privacy law and your privacy and security. Hopefully, enough people will refuse to provide their social security number to them and they will follow a wise suggestion of the AMA not to collect it from the patients. By the way, I don't need the AI generated response from the office to this review, seems it's a "standard practice for them as well'.

Dr. Timani was OUTSTANDING in helping us with our Treatment recently! She was more than helpful in MANY ways! Malik was surperb also!!! They both listened and handled all of our concerns in a very compassionate manner. It was a stressful time and it meant a lot! Dr T is the BEST!!!! Thank you SO much .. Missy & John Southard

There was an unavoidable delay with my appointment time, but once Anna was able to get in and see me, she was very very accommodating. I felt like she really respected my time and took time to do a thorough review of why I was there. Everyone in the office has always been very respectful of me as a patient.

I want o give them zero star but unfortunately thats not an option. They have wrongful billing system. I had small procedure done, asked them if it is covered by insurance, they said yes at first then changed statement it might not be. I have asked for out of picket price which was stated and given in writing( upon my request) $163 and Ana and her assistant clearly said that this will be the cost if in case not covered by insurance. They sent me bill of $370 to pay with in 15 days. Tried to call their billing several times and left voice msg, no answers or call back. Take your business somewhere else to avoid fraudulent service charges.
