Skin Solutions: Pena Julie M MD

It would be difficult for me to think of any one thing I could negatively say about my experiences with Dr. Pena, her staff or her business, Skin Solutions, over the past month or so. As a matter of fact, I cannot remember if I have ever encountered such a friendly and caring medical professional, or one who surrounds herself with a competent and equally compassionate staff. To say I was dismayed when told the brown spot on my arm was cancerous and surgery would be required to deal with it properly would be un understatement. I have never considered I might have a cancerous growth. Dr. Pena’s staff, however, immediately put me at ease talking about the procedure, what to expect, and how to prepare. They were great, and in this non-medical person’s opinion, the procedure went extremely well. They even called the next day to check up on me. How often does that happen? They are considerate, experienced and thoughtful folks at Skin Solutions, and I would highly recommend you taking advantage of their services if every you should have the need.

Had my first appointment today. It was great. First appointment of the day at 7am and I would do it again and would recommend early appointments at any dermatologist’s office. Efficient and throughly walked through a new routine with new products, some over the counter and 3 new prescriptions. They are also having me come back in a month to see the progress made and adjust anything they feel is needed. They made the appointment for me and had it in hand before I even left the patient room with complementary trial sized products of their suggested skin routine.

I have had 5 Mohs surgeries performed by Dr. Pena. She has done an excellent job with minimal scaring. Her staff is also extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend Skin Solutions to anyone!

Dr Pena was very caring and knowledgeable with my surgery. Everyone I came in contact with in the office had great customer skills. I would definitely refer my friends to them!

I would not recommend Dr. Julie for anybody. I felt that she was very busy going from one appointment to another and do not have time for me. She ordered me a biopsy even though i had results from a prior biopsy she did not take time to review. It cost me lot of money and i'm still suffering. When i confronted them, they said they can't really help and to find a different dermatologist.

I was in with Betsy for a VI peel and DID NOT get the service I booked. I was not worth the $$$$. I have had many VI peels and know the routine. This was NOT a VI peel. My face was quickly washed and one swipe of something over my face, then out the door in TEN MINUTES? Typically, this service comes in a box with an acetone/smell face cleaner, which was not used, and then at least three coats of the peel over 15 min. I did not see any of the "normal box contents" and feel I was given a VERY EXPENSIVE TCA peel? I am furious and would NEVER go back !

Absolutely fantastic care....every procedure carefully explained and very professionally executed. I could not ask for anything more. I have been treated at many facilities and this is the best by far!
