Massage Envy

I am a former client of the Erie branch and felt compelled to share my experience. As a male, it took a significant amount of courage for me to schedule both a massage and a facial. Trying services like these can already feel outside of one’s comfort zone, and I approached the appointment with some understandable hesitation. The massage itself was terrific—professional, relaxing, and exactly what I had hoped for. Unfortunately, the facial portion of my visit completely overshadowed the positive experience. During the facial, the technician attempted casual conversation. I responded politely but kept the interaction minimal and professional. As a man, being alone in a private treatment room can already create a sense of vulnerability. There is an added awareness that misunderstandings or accusations—justified or not—can have serious personal and professional consequences. Because of that, I was mindful of my words and demeanor to ensure neither of us felt uncomfortable. The appointment concluded without any indication of an issue. I tipped the technician and proceeded to the front desk to pay. It was there that I was informed the technician did not wish to see me again, and no explanation was provided. I was both surprised and offended. I had been polite, respectful, and mostly kept to myself. That moment validated the very apprehension I had worked to overcome in booking the service in the first place. Instead of feeling reassured, I left feeling stigmatized and uncomfortable. As a result, I canceled my membership and will not be returning. More unfortunately, the experience has made me reluctant to ever place myself in a similar setting again. I share this feedback not out of anger, but out of disappointment. I hope management considers how situations like this—especially when no explanation or opportunity for discussion is provided—can significantly impact clients who are already stepping outside of their comfort zones.

I have been going to Lauren for a few months and she is absolutely wonderful every time. Jenna has been at the front desk the past few times I have gone in and she always recognizes me and greets me with a smile. The girls at the front desk are always incredibly helpful and the therapists are mindful, attentive and professional. I recommend the membership to family and friends whenever I can. Thank you for a great experience every time!

I love Robbi's work. She has a very intuitive touch and helps my anxious mind relax. One important aspect of the massage and body work world is being able to adapt the session to each individuals needs, preferences, and body type. She does this wonderfully! As a seasoned MT myself, I have come to love many of the therapists at the Massage Envy Erie location over the years. It's not your average ME. Quite a few have been practicing here for more than the 5+ years that I have been around. This place is full of talent and passion for health and wellness!

my massage with Robbi felt like a work of art. she had such a steady flow, and was attentive to my specific focus areas throughout the entire session. I then received a facial with Kaylee that was absolutely phenomenal. Not only is she so knowledgable and attentive to my specific concerns but also deeply relaxing! my experience was 10/10 🤩

If Theresa is "Star" she gets a 10 out of 5. Very smart. During my massage, she knew what muscles were the problem and focused on those areas. I highly recommend her but don't over book her because I want to keep her for myself!

Lauren is hands down the best massage therapist I've ever been to. She truly listens, understands exactly what your body needs, and delivers every time. You can tell she cares deeply about her work and it shows in every session. Be sure to schedule yourself a month or two out, she books fast!

Robbi is hands down (pun intended) the BEST! I look forward to each massage session! She is very knowledgeable and so skilled at what she does. She always finds my problem areas and adjusts the pressure as needed. She introduced me to the Salt Stone enhancement - which I highly recommend! I leave feeling so relaxed after each massage!
