Extremely dissatisfied and would NOT recommend. I made an appointment back in November for my 3 year old son who has been having severe skin issues and was told the earliest they could get him in was April. This morning, I received an email saying that I need to now reschedule as the doctor is going to be out of the office that day. When I call, I simply get routed to a call center and someone who barely speaks English. When transferred to the office, I get a voicemail. If this was my business, I would not have any patients. Absolutely pathetic.

I’m very impressed with their office and staff. They are extremely friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to give you the best service. I’m also extremely happy with Dr. Van Acker. She’s very professional and thorough. You can tell she really cares about her patients.

Dr. Van Acker is incredible for me and so thorough with my derm health. Looking back at prior office visits and actually having all information before walking in to the room. Very thankful she goes the extra mile. The staff there is great too and very helpful!

Everything was wonderful except when I called ro say we were stuck in traffic. We were coming from sixty miles away. The person on the phone immediately went into a speech on company policy and canceling my appointment if I was mote than 10 minutes late. I tried to explain i was 83 was having knee surgery in two weeks and Dr. Smith said I really needed this procedure. She kept interrupting me and finally hung up saying I was being aggressive. She needs to be taught how to deal with someone under stress and be more respectful of senior citizens.

Dr. Van Acker and her assistant even under the pressure of a continuation of ongoing patients, kept their composure and professionalism. Especially with my unexpected procedure, she gave me her time and her full attention. The front desk staff went way and beyond their assigned duties. With my cronic anxiety the unexpected is not good for me. But the doctor's and staff kept me clam just by their staying clam and professional.I thank you all.

showed up to my appointment and told they were behind schedule and that i would have to wait 1-2 hours to be seen. why did they not call me before i drove 30 minutes to my appointment? we settled on a 3:30 appointment for later that day instead, to accommodate my work schedule. they called me less than an hour later to cancel the appointment because of a family emergency and offered me another appointment over a month later. mind you, i waited 6 months for this appointment in the first place! completely ridiculous. lack of communication on their part and clearly disorganized when it comes to scheduling. i cancelled my appointment and i will not be returning!

I've been using Forefront Dermatology in East Lansing for a least 4 years. I am always impressed with the friendlies of the entre staff. I never seem to have to wait long to be taken to an examining room nor do I have long to wait to see a doctor. Excellent service and for me well worth the 1 hour drive to get there.
