Derm360-Merrick Park

Very poor experience. The dermatology appointment lasted only about 15 minutes, including a biopsy. I requested a detailed receipt twice and never received it. I also did not receive a copy of my biopsy results — only a text message saying "everything is fine." To obtain the actual results, I was told I must come to the office in person, which is extremely inconvenient. There is no patient portal, communication is mostly via text messages, and it is very difficult to reach anyone by phone. I do not recommend this place.

Had the pleasure of meeting Dr Gonzalez and would recommend her. She was pleasant and took her time to explain everything in detail. The office is beautiful and clean. The medical assistants were also very nice and attentive. 10/10.

I had been seeing Dr. Haushalter for close to 3 years and was very satisfied with the treatment and care she provided for acne control. Almost two years ago, I started to lose my hair suddenly and I mentioned this to Dr. Haushalter and felt slightly dismissed (most my doctors had dismissed me because it was the early stages of hair loss). I live between Miami and another state, so I could only make appointments in the small windows when I was home. This past July, I had to make an appointment and only her PA, Alexa Cannata, was available. I was desperate to see someone because my hair loss had significantly progressed, so I agreed. I really want to give her the benefit of the doubt, but Cannata was extremely incompetent. I had read her profile before and it doesn't make sense to me how someone who worked nine years in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care was equipped to work in Dermatology with zero previous experience. Not only did she not offer a single remedy, solution or treatment for my hair loss, but she couldn't even give me an intelligent explanation for the difference between collagen and biotin. I have a medical and biology background and listening to her try to distinguish the two made me cringe (I still think about it to this day, 6 months later). Cannata told me there was nothing that could be done about my hair loss. Thankfully, I know how to advocate for myself and I came prepared with information about treatments for what I have (hormonal hair loss). I had to ASK for a medication to be prescribed and had to PERSIST on seeking treatments that would remedy or slow my hair loss. Cannata then had to leave the room to ask Dr. Haushalter if the medication I asked to be prescribed is normally used to treat female patterning hair loss (it is). I ended up being prescribed the same low dosage I was already taking for acne control. Looking back, I am incredibly frustrated that I paid for this appointment. Cannata was not equipped to treat me and I ended up being the one who acted as the healthcare provider. I ended up seeing another dermatologist who not only listened to me, but also came up with an effective diagnosis and treatment plan for my hair loss. Overall, I think that Derm360 is probably an okay practice for those seeking cosmetic treatments and acne control, but not at all for more serious dermatology concerns such as hair loss.

Dr. Mercedes Gonzalez is very professional and informative. She was caring, compassionate, and gentle with our toddler. Would highly recommend to other parents seeking a pediatric dermatologist.

Dr H is a very competent, skilled, expert. She possesses extraordinary transparency, honesty and an authentic care for the wellbeing of her patients! Highly Recommended.

Dr. Mercedes Gonzalez is truly a miracle worker. My son has suffered from severe eczema for years, and no doctor was ever able to get it under control—at one point, we were even told it might be a genetic abnormality because of how extreme it was. But everything changed when we found Dr. Gonzalez. She not only put him on the right treatment plan, but she completely cleared his skin. For the first time, he’s finally comfortable and healing. Dr. Gonzalez is kind, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. We live in Broward, but making the trip to Coral Gables to see her was more than worth it—we just wish we had found her sooner. Her staff is also so friendly and welcoming, which made the entire experience even better. We’re beyond grateful.

Excellent bedside manner! Dr Gonzalez has the heart of a teacher and explains things so that it’s easy to understand. She has treated my daughter for acne, warts and a skin infection. She is fantastic with kids and is very mindful of easing any discomfort and choosing the best treatment options available. Highly recommend!
