Michael Chen, MD, FAAD

Dr. Chen is very knowledgeable and has a great demeanor. He answered all my questions and provided explanations for everything he found. I was very pleased with him and will continue to have him as my dermatologist.

Doctor Chen does a thorough job of examining but he is rude and his bedside manner is horrible. I appreciate that he wants to advise of skincare because that is his job but he doesn’t need to be mean and rude and make the patients feel like they are idiots. Talk to me with respect. Do not talk down to me. I left his office feeling very uncomfortable.

I've been a patient for 10 + years and as always the staff are professional and friendly. My appointments with Dr. Chen are always on time and he is thorough and comunicates any concerns clearly.

I got in and out quickly with knowledge of my skin results! Doctor Chen and the assisting nurse were very friendly and knowledgeable, letting me know what to expect and what some bumps on my skin were. Highly recommend!

My experience was poor. I had scheduled my annual exam for 8:30 AM. I arrived 10 minutes prior to my appointment to find the doors locked. At 8:30 the door was opened. I checked in and told to wait. Ten minutes later a staff member showed me the way to an exam room. I was told that the doctor would be in shortly. After waiting for an additional 15 minutes I stepped out to inquire as to what was going on. I was told that the doctor was held up in "traffic ". I left the office and have no intention of returning! I have been a patient of Dr. Chen for 5 plus years but no longer..

I do not know why the star is 4.7 before I am writing a review. The nurses and Dr. Chen's assistant were nice. I gave two stars only for nurses and the assistant. But Dr. Chen jumped into a conclusion that your case never can be healed and your itching is because of aging ( I know it is not true). He did not want to listen at all. He only was there for about 3 minutes and gave some negative talking without listening and left in a hurry. I will NOT go back to him again. I do NOT recommend him.

Dr Chen was very thorough and explained the process he uses as he went through steps. He was professional and also very personable and caring. His reception staff were friendly and great at managing his schedule. Had very little wait time and smooth check-in/ check-out. Overall great experience.
