Being a previous patient I felt comfortable making an appointment to have a checkup and a couple of skin tags removed. I paid the $50.00 copay and went back to see the doctor. His exam consisted of taking about 30 seconds to look at my arms. Then out the door I went! I still have the skin tags and $50.00 less than when I went In!

I had such a great experience on my first visit with Dr.Chen. I love that the check in process was smooth due to the paperwork being done prior to my visit. The ladies at the front desk made me feel so welcome and I appreciated that because t was feeling very miserable! Everyone definitely made me feel there was a light at the end of the tunnel ! Took off work and drove just over 1.5 hours round trip to take my daughter to the initial appointment for an assessment of a section of her skin. The first appointment was with the actual Dermatologist Dr. Chen and two people assisting him. As we sat there waiting for him to assess it appeared as if he had no real idea as to what the issue was. He mentioned a couple things but we the patients are not experts in this field so we were not totally clear as to what he assessed because he had no definitive answer. He recommended we come back to the aesthetician and she would be able to assess my daughter’s skin. I take off a second time drive another 1.5 hours round trip to come see the aesthetician. We get here, my daughter goes back only to be told by the aesthetician that she did not feel comfortable doing any cutting procedure and she recommended we come back a third time to see someone else and stated she would need to have a steroid injection to flatten out the area. This is probably where I should have called it but the office seemed so sure that coming back my daughter would receive actual care. By this time I guess we were invested and trusting what we were being told. So today we drove back a THIRD time, take off work, 1.5 hours round trip and another 50.00 co-pay. We get to the office and my daughter goes back only to come out more confused than she she went in. We were under the impression that she was coming in for the injection and leaving. Well that did not happen . My daughter had to actually bring up fact that she was advised she was coming for a steroid injection but instead whoever was "treating" her this time she looked at the area and said there are three things she could do. Cut it out, a punch incision with stitches, or a steroid injection. The visit did not have the feel like… the patient comes in, is assessed, and definitively based on the expertise of the professionals provided an actual diagnosis, and treated. It was almost like my daughter had to make that call based on limited information. My daughter chose the incision with the small blade and after approx 5 to 7 minutes of attempting to do an incision nothing was removed. She was then told she would need to come back a FOURTH time. So 4.5 hours, three call off works, two 50.00 co-pays, and two submit to my insurance for claim payments later my daughter is no further along than when we first walked into this office. It felt like she was just passed around like a science project. So while everyone was polite it felt disorganized and inefficient. After multiple referrals we expected a clearer explanation or definitive treatment plan. Unfortunately neither was provided. I would have even appreciated it if the Dermatologist would have just said he did not know and if you comeback you are taking a crap shoot here. Something. It would have saved me time, money, and energy. Now that I am reading more of the reviews it appears as if quite a few of patients had issues with the multiple appointments. This may need to be reported and looked into. The two stars is only for the politeness of everyone in the office overall with the exception of Dr. Chen. Bedside manner not good at all.

Website says they offer PDL treatment but I’ve called 2 locations and they speak to me like I’m stupid for asking. Receptionists offered no help as to what location does. Maybe employees should be more informed?

I highly recommend Forefront Dermatology! Their staff are friendly and truly cared for the issues I sought help for. I’ve seen numerous dermatologists, but Forefront stands out because with their patience and willingness to educate me along the way. If you’re looking for a new dermatologist, look no further!

I just had my six month check-up at Forefront Dermatology. The doctor saw me promptly, and distinguished accurately between what’s benign and possibly cancerous. The staff works efficiently and most cordially. Highly recommended!
