I called to confirm if it was only walk ins or appointments only location. Told the receptionist I just needed an xray and she pauses and says "well which one do you want? Walk in or appointment?" She waits to wait to gather my info to then tell me she can’t take make an appointment without a referral because "that’s how it works here. So I suggest you walk in/wait or just go to the emergency room." It might be a different situation in person but that’s not a good vibe.

Our experience at MUSC Health West Ashley Physical Therapy was extremely disappointing . The therapist, M—though clearly knowledgeable—seemed frantic and rushed. She repeatedly mentioned needing to finish by 8:30, sped through instructions, and shushed me when I politely asked her to slow down. Her behavior was unprofessional and frankly appalling. The department lead and receptionist were sincerely apologetic. However, when M later called to schedule a follow-up appointment, she justified her behavior by pointing to the time she had spent with us—which was less than 40 minutes—instead of taking responsibility for her conduct. This department has a serious problem. The system seems to produce therapists more focused on speed than genuine, patient-centered care. I’ve worked with physical therapists before, which is why I now drive to Mount Pleasant despite the distance—to receive the quality care every patient deserves. We must remind healthcare facilities that we are people, not cattle. To be clear, this reflects only the Physical Therapy Department. I’ve had positive experiences in other areas of MUSC, but I will not return here and cannot recommend their PT services.

They cancel your appointment when you are late because you get stuck in their very long lines.

Completely unprofessional. Spent 20 minutes with a contrast needle in my son’s shoulder while they struggled to inject. Incompetent! Finally main guy comes in to solve it. Bedside manner was RUDE. The worst experience I’ve ever witnessed. Scan is horrible and shaky. Worthless $4000 scan. Run away from these people.

Came in with a broken finger, the nurses were great but the doctor really just said "my buddy had a broken finger took like a year to heal" and that was his analysis for me. Never got a MyChart, the billing was sent to a wrong address, and I paid my bill weeks ago and now they are telling me it's past due. Would not recommend MUSC to anyone unless they want a headache and waste of time.

The professional & and accommodating staff are extremely helpful, caring, and friendly! The physicians are extremely caring and professional! Very personable and friendly. You're not just a case number....they listen to your concerns and explain everything clearly! I think that the Doctors and staff are EXCEPTIONAL when it comes to their " bedside manner " - how they relate to you, their patient and working with you to accomplish the best possible treatment for you in a timely manner! Highly recommend MUSC PHYSICIANS INCLUDING ORTHOPEDIC SURGEONS AND NEUROSURGEONS. 5+ ★★★★★

The schedulers were so nice and accommodating.. helped get me in earlier with a cancellation. For whatever reason, I received a text reminder for the appointment but when I arrived my appt couldn’t be found. I drove 1.5 hours for this appointment, I was worried I was in for having to reschedule. I spoke with Neesha on the second floor check in who not only was very upbeat, kind, and Professional… but she spoke with the MD office and was able to get me worked in. This was my first experience with MUSC West Ashley and I’m very impressed. Worth the drive for this kind of medical professionalism.
