Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery

I want to share my excellent experience with Dr. Pino. My appointment was scheduled for 10am I had a full body scan exam, and was treated for a pre cancerous spot on my cheek. He discussed all my concerns patiently. Best of all I was exiting the clinic at 10:16. Wow! That doesn't happen in most medical related appointment these days. His thorough, patient-focused approach gave me confidence and eased my mind. I am very pleased and highly recommend his care.

I scheduled my appointment with Advance Dermatology over a week in advance and even confirmed everything beforehand. Despite this, no one from their office verified my insurance ahead of time. I drove 1.5 hours to the appointment, only to receive a text message—not even a phone call—while I was already seated inside the office, informing me that my appointment was canceled because they do not accept my insurance. To make matters worse, the office manager told me I would have to pay out of pocket, potentially over $200, not including any treatment. I also lost a workday and valuable time due to this careless oversight. Be warned: they do not check your insurance ahead of time, and their communication is unacceptable. This could easily happen to you. The lack of professionalism from the scheduling and management team is deeply disappointing. It's clear they do not value their clients' time or needs. I will not be returning, and I strongly recommend others to verify everything multiple times if you consider using this clinic.

Thorough, Professional, Friendly I chose this place per recommendations from others in our community and I’m glad I did. It was very easy to use their website to book an appointment, fill out forms electronically and submit insurance information. I will say that the number of emails and text messages reminding me about my appointment is a bit excessive – almost annoying, but as there are so many seniors in this area and plenty with memory issues, I understand. Thomas Pino, PA is very friendly, taking time to hear my concerns and questions. As it was my first visit, he performed a full body exam which resulted in no issues or problems. He put my mind at ease as far as a few spots I was concerned about. The exam is surprisingly fast and well worth the piece of mind knowing your skin is healthy.

Tom and his assistant took their time with me. I’m a kidney transplant patient and I have to be very careful with skin cancer. He took it seriously and was very thorough. I felt very comfortable after my visit. I highly recommend them.

Had my first appointment with Dr. Sotomayor this morning! He and his assistant are so incredibly nice and make you feel comfortable! I was really nervous about some skin things, but they quickly eased my mind. As an added bonus, I saw the Nydia, the Esthetician! She is also wonderful! I'm finally doing something I should have started a long time ago! I now have a Skin care plan! To all of the young people out there, take care of your skin! Get into a good healthy skin care routine now, and stick to it. You'll be so thankful when you hit your 50s and still look 30! Definitely use sunscreen! I'm so happy I had these appointments today! I know I can't go back but I can make better choices going forward! I highly recommend a Advanced Dermatology! Everyone is extremely professional, knowledgable and super friendly! So happy I finally did this for myself! Thank you to the entire staff for making this a good experience!

My husband recently had 2 Mohs procedures on different days. The staff was fine. The waiting times were beyond ridiculous. The first appointment was scheduled at 11:00AM. We never left the building until 3:00. Moved from room to room and waited and waited and waited every step of the way. The actual "hands on" procedure was less then 30 minutes total. The second Mohs procedure was yesterday. Appointment was at 11:00. We weren't out of there until 4:00!!!! Once again, wait and wait and wait. Both times they only had to cut one time. Please, please, please do something with your scheduling of appointments. Or inform people how long they may be there, so they can bring necessities.

My experience was very positive! The sweet girl who prepped me was kind and sensitive to my concerns and the other sweet girl who removed the lump was very skilled and made the procedure go smoothly and painlessly. I thank both of them but didn't catch their names.
