Christine Lee MD Dermatology

First of all, in the two years + that I have been going to "Christine Lee" I have yet to actually meet or be examined by her. Okay, her PA is nice enough. However ... the front office staff in both Berkeley and Walnut Creek are falling all over themselves. Instead of actually looking up in their billing records a statement I received to pay the full amount because ... as they told me ... the service was denied and I should call my insurance company ... which I did. The insurance company had ZERO evidence this claim had been submitted. BACK AND FORTH, BACK AND FORTH, BACK AND FORTH, BACK FOR FORTH .... for approximately 45 days with the billing department telling me that I am the problem. Okay. How may I resolve the problem. Then, I realize I am holding a statement from Dr. Lee and I do more hunting to confirm the statement for charges has NEVER been submitted to the insurance company. I call Dr. Lee's office (I requested two times to have Dr. Lee call me and the request was denied with the excuse that Dr. Lee does not handle these matters), I get the one person on the phone who is actually listening even though her head seems to be spinning from having to deal with this ... although she is very loving and committed to resolving the issue. I told her the bill had never been submitted to the insurance company. She talks to billing and tells me they will submit the bill. WTH?!? THIS WAS 45 DAYS OF BACK AND FORTH BS WITH THE BILLING DEPARTMENT AND STAFF INTERACTING WITH ME LIKE I'M THE PROBLEM. AT ONE POINT THE BILLING DEPARTMENT TRIED TO SAY THEY DIDN'T HAVE MY INSURANCE INFORMATION, WHEN IN FACT I HAD GIVEN IT IN 2025 AND 2026. NO! NO! AND, NO! AGAIN, NO. Any doctor that would allow their front office and billing staff to be so disrespectful and unorganized is not a doctor I will continue to put my life in that doctor's hands. Unfortunately, I am a 45+ years business consultant and many of my clients have been doctors. I have actually had plenty of experience with this type of behavior and tried and tried and tried to get through their "thinking" in order to be dealing with the facts and help them to make things go right in a loving and relevant manner. Yeah! That didn't work either. Bye, bye.

told me I could come in any time before 3:30 to come get my lab orders. Came in at 2:30 and no one was there. Came back the next week and got my lab orders in person cause apparently they won't send orders directly to a lab. The fact that they make you get tested for basic medication is ridiculous. Whole process was a massive waste of time
