I recently visited Ort MD Facial Aesthetic Surgery and I can’t say enough wonderful things about my experience. From the moment I walked through the door, the entire team made me feel welcomed, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. The office itself is beautiful, calming, and spotless, the perfect environment for anyone feeling a little nervous. Dr. Ort took the time to listen carefully to my goals, answer every question, and explain each step with clarity and kindness. Their expertise and compassion were evident right away. I never felt rushed or pressured only supported and fully informed. The staff was just as incredible. The front desk ladies and medical assistant I encountered were warm, patient, and professional. They checked in often, made sure I felt at ease, and went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly. My results are natural, flattering, and more than I ever hoped for. But what stood out most was the level of care before, during, and after my procedure. I felt like I was in the best hands possible from start to finish. I highly recommend Dr. Ort and her practice to anyone considering a cosmetic procedure. They truly combine skill, artistry, and compassion in a way that’s rare to find.

I had my keloid scar on my chest treated here about a year ago. Dr Ort did such an amazing job at reducing the size and appearance with steroid injection, way better than I had at a previous clinic where I had to go multiple times with not much improvement. Here it was just one session and after a year it’s still looking good and barely raised/mostly flat and hardly noticeable. So happy I have more confidence in my appearance 🙂

I recently visited Dr. Ort for what may seem like a small procedure to most people but it was a big deal for me. I've had a small depression on my nose that has bothered me for years. I really didn't think there was anything that could be done. Then I learned about "fillers". I was really nervous about getting a series of shots in my nose but she made me feel very comfortable and at ease. I am extremely happy with the result. What a huge difference! I would highly recommend Dr. Ort for procedures big or small.

Writing this review is genuinely painful. I spent two years planning my surgery with Dr. Ort, only to be dropped as a patient two weeks before my surgery date. The explanation I received was that she had been feeling increasingly uneasy about my case and had developed anxiety about performing my surgery. She told me it would be best for both of us if she stepped back. While I can respect her honesty in recognizing her own discomfort, the cancellation came completely out of the blue and with only a 14-day notice after years of preparation. In the month leading up to the surgery, I reached out more frequently to finalize the plan and to ask technical questions that had not been covered during consultation. She repeatedly assured me that questions were welcome, and I made every effort to emphasize that I trusted her judgment - I simply needed to understand the details on my end. After a few email exchanges in the last month prior to surgery, I accepted her recommended plan exactly as proposed. That is why the cancellation call was so shocking. I had just confirmed my full agreement with the surgical plan when she phoned to say she no longer felt she was the right surgeon for me. I reassured her again and again that I had no reservations and that my prior questions were not criticism, but an attempt to be informed and responsible. But despite my reassurance, she still chose to withdraw. I was left speechless, and I ended up crying after the call because the decision felt so sudden and final, with no hint of concern raised beforehand. I understand that a surgeon should not operate if they genuinely feel uneasy, but I cannot help feeling that this realization should have come long before we reached the 14-day mark. I had already arranged flights, accommodations, and multiple expensive pre-surgical visits as an out-of-state patient. The emotional and financial toll of having everything fall apart at the very last moment was overwhelming. What hurt the most was feeling like my desire to understand my own surgery was interpreted as mistrust. I asked questions because I cared deeply about the outcome, not because I doubted her abilities. It is incredibly disheartening that this was taken by Dr. Ort personally to the point of cancellation. After so much time, planning, and hope, the experience left me devastated and completely blindsided. I am sharing this not out of anger, but out of honesty. Dr. Ort has a very long waitlist (1 - 2 years) for both consultations and surgeries, so future patients deserve to know how communication and expectations are handled during such a long and vulnerable process. Edit: I would like to add something in response to Dr. Ort’s office response. The "previous patient - doctor relationship issue" mentioned in their response was discussed AFTER the office already decided to cancel my surgery, not before and not a reason for the cancellation. To this date, it is not clear to me where the "mistrust" actually came from before the cancellation. After the surgery was cancelled, I went through a series of emotional rollercoasters and sent the office multiple emails in hope of finding a real answer. The "previous doctor-patient relationship" issue mentioned by the office has to do with another surgeon who botched my previous surgery - which, again, was discussed AFTER the cancellation, not before. To this date, the office was still gaslighting me with different excuses like this (things that happened after cancellation) without telling me what exactly led to the decision before the cancellation. It feels very dishonest and says a lot about their conflict-handling style - always deflecting and being avoidant to leave the patient in the dark.

Dr. Ort performed an extremely complex and lengthy surgery on me that included a revision of some prior jaw work. There were a number of separate components of this procedure, and they blended structural work (i.e., changes to bone) and soft tissue work (i.e., lifting and redraping tissue). She did an astonishing job combining all of this work, sustaining an immaculate attention to detail over a *very* long surgery (eleven hours), and creating a result that looked natural, appropriately masculine, and youthful. She genuinely listened to my feedback during the design stage for the implant and orthognathic portions of the surgery, incorporated it beautifully where appropriate and gently pushed back with her aesthetic judgment when I was asking for a change that I wouldn't have been happy with. She is a joy to work with and runs a smooth a responsive practice. There are very, very few surgeons in the country whose expertise spans this many components of facial surgery, and she is one of them.

Waited almost a year for a consult. I researched her work a while so I was super excited to meet her and go over options, as I felt my chin muscles were overactive and that my face became longer following ortho treatment. After being unable to come in person due to the shutdown canceling flights, the office last minute switched me to a virtual which I appreciated. However, during our meeting she seemed distracted and extremely disinterested in anything I was saying. There was zero real conversation or introduction and it almost became a bit awkward as I searched through my gallery for old photos she said she needed. I started to feel uncomfortable and kind of silly addressing my concerns or asking any additional questions. I eventually just asked for a quote for what she did recommend and she said she didn't know. After a long wait time and paying a pretty decent fee, I feel defeated back at square one, as it wasn't at all what I expected.
