I went on time to my appointment and still waited over 1 hour to even be taken back to a room, only to keep waiting some more(25 mins) for the doctor to come in! My time is just as valuable and I had to be there struggling with my 2 fussy babies because of so much waiting in the stroller not everyone has childcare or help. When my appointment should’ve taken no more than 15 minutes! Mind you I waited 8 MONTHS to be seen by him for something so serious! & then he wanted to see me in 4 weeks from then and I try making an appointment and the soonest would be 6 months from here on out! Also I called the office to let them know I have a bad reaction to the medication DR BAZE. prescribed me and I STILL haven’t heard back from them.
I scheduled an appointment earlier this year in July for December 3rd. I received 3 texts 3 days prior to my appointment as reminders. I arrive today for my appointment just to be told Michael Baze is out sick. I never got a text or call about this. I was told to grab a business card and call to reschedule. I will never come back here again.
I had a pleasant experience here. I read the other comments and made absolutely sure I wasn't late (which was fairly nerve-wracking, admittedly...), so I didn't run into the same issues as others. The desk staff was very nice to me and check in was easy. I think each of the folks at the desk might work for different practices since multiple groups on the Suite B building sign were in Suite 250. The signs are not good... the outdoor Commons sign did not show Swedish Dermatology but luckily the paperwork Swedish Dermatology sends ahead in the mail has location information. Once in Suite B, the sign by the elevators also didn't say Dermatology so you need to know what doctor you're seeing to confirm where they are (Suite B250 on the 2nd floor all the way down the hall if anyone was wondering). The wait between getting to my room and seeing the doctor was a little long but not unusually so. Maybe 15-20mins. The doctor I saw was kind, asked me questions, and listened intently. I could tell they booked him back to back though so my visit was very short (5-10mins). The assistant did set expectations that visits were only 15mins and if I needed to be seen for longer or for a follow up, then they would schedule that later. I had a straightforward case so I didn't need that, but I can see how this would be frustrating for folks who have waited a long time for their appointment to go over a more complex case. Overall, I enjoyed my experience. Parking was easy, finding the building was initially stressful due to the fear of being late, the desk staff was great, the wait was longer than the visit, and the doctor had great bedside manner/was very knowledgeable. 4/5
I wanted to add a differing opinion to the ones I saw her previously - I actually had a really good experience at this office this morning. Staff were friendly, the waiting area was nice, and while the doctor was admittedly a little behind schedule I was extremely happy with the thorough care and amount of facetime I got once he was able to see me. Every question I had was answered, my options and their recommendations were explained to me clearly, and hey, I got my first liquid nitrogen experience. I felt this was a very successful visit!
Drove over an hour with a screaming newborn baby to make it to a last minute appt I was given, in place of my prior appt that was a few more months out, after they got a cancellation. I arrived 7 minutes late, was given a business card to reschedule and turned away after being told they have a 5 minute late policy by a very rude, stuck up receptionist.
Waited 2 months for an appointment. So long that the ezcema I went in for had cleared up. Arrived early because I was told I would not be seen if I was even a minute late. Upon arrival was told I might not be seen because I was early. Asked about a lump on my arm and the ezcema and was told I could only address one issue. Was told by the doctor my concer s were cosmetic and he couldn't do anything about the lump without making it look worse. Waste of time, horrendous patient care and example of capitalist healthcare. Go elsewhere.
I’ve been going to Dr. Baze for years now and he is fantastic. Very thorough, approachable, and explains things well. I’ve never had any problem with the front desk staff. Took 2 months to get in but that’s just healthcare these days, no knock on the clinic itself.
