Customer Reviews
Bayonne Dermatology has a rating of 4.5 out of 5 based on over 388 reviews on Google
I have had a lifetime of relationships with Doctors and their staffs. Some are better than others. A very few are terrific, even fewer are awful. Dr Kharsak and his staff are the worst I've ever experienced. Unprofessional, understaffed and far too many patients. A clear money factory. I have never written a review like this as a patent before. Save yourself
I was given a referral to this office by my PCP - definitely going to suggest that they reconsider sending their patients over to them given my experience. Their Bayonne location is in a new construction building, but the office itself felt…rough/old by comparison for a new build. The forms I was required to fill out were formatted terribly - I’m all for being accessible to other language needs, but when lines of text run on and run and it becomes difficult to sort out what you’re filling in or signing maybe you need to consider having separate forms in each language on offer for better legibility. I was scheduled to see Dr. Khasak, but ended up seeing Dr. Lyudila with no warning or confirmation that I’d be okay with switching who I would be seen by - same as another reviewer, she was in the room for no more than five minutes. I don’t know how dermatology works, so maybe diagnoses being made by just looking at the affected areas is enough to determine the underlying cause of the issue, but it’s off putting to not feel like time and testing is being put in to assess a patient. I was prescribed doxycycline hyclate, a clinical ph-benzoyl peroxide gel, and sodium sulfate-sulfur cleaner wash - after running through the course of those items, I reached out to the office wanting to discuss possible side effects from the doxycycline I thought I was having. Instead of a call back from the doctor or the receptionist providing the doctor’s response in their place, my CVS app sent me a notification that they’d sent over a prescription of minocycline - that’s doesn’t feel very communicative in my opinion. I had a follow up appointment scheduled to check on my progress, but have since canceled it - I don’t have a good feeling about how much they value the doctor/patient relationship.
Great experience at this office! I was struggling with my face for years until I came here. Staff is very welcoming and attentive to their patients as well.
Great place! No long waits and they accept Medicare and Medicaid . Great staff and no long waits. They will listen to your wants and needs and are completely upfront and honest
REMEMBER YOUR HIPPOCRATIC OATH I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with the level of care I’ve received during my recent dermatology visits. My intent is not to question anyone’s qualifications, but rather to share some very real concerns about how appointments are handled and the approach to patient care. First and foremost, the scheduling system appears to be consistently overbooked. Despite having a set appointment time, I am often left waiting for an hour or more before being seen. When I am finally called in, the provider is typically in the room for no more than five minutes. This short window is used primarily to push a prescription usually antibiotics without taking the time to understand the full scope of the issue. What’s even more troubling is the lack of thorough testing or investigation. Diagnoses seem to be made with just a quick glance at my skin, with no skin samples taken, no cultures performed, and no further testing to determine the underlying cause of the issue. I have been struggling with a persistent skin condition for over a year with no lasting solution provided. Prescriptions have often left my skin overly dry, irritated, and in pain, with minimal guidance on how to use the products correctly or safely. In an effort to take charge of my own health, I even paid out of pocket for blood work to see if hormone imbalances might be contributing to the problem. Unfortunately, the test was incomplete because necessary elements like cortisol levels weren’t included. This felt like yet another missed opportunity to identify what might be at the root of my ongoing skin condition.Overall, the care I’ve received has felt impersonal and rushed, lacking the scientific rigor and patient-centered attention I had hoped for. It’s incredibly disheartening to leave appointments feeling more confused and defeated than when I walked in, especially after trying multiple treatments that only seem to make things worse.I truly hope this feedback encourages more thoughtful, investigative, and compassionate care in the future not just for me, but for others seeking help with similar issues.
The doctors are really good, and caring. You know what's not good? The front desk staff. I called ahead to ask questions to determine whether I should book an appointment, and after hearing their responses I went ahead with the appointment. Even when I arrived on the appointment day, I reiterated my purpose of coming. Few months later I was charged for stuff that I originally was told by front desk staff I wouldn't be charged for. The doctors needs to retrain their front office staff as they clearly don't know what they're saying.
I've been to other dermatologists, but no one is as kind as Dr. Lyudmila Magakyan. Her kindness, professionalism, and humility are incredible. Her team of assistants is also very professional.
