I underwent sinusitis surgery for the 2nd time at this place (the 1st is different), and I am extremely grateful for the quality of care provided. The ENT's was thorough in the diagnosis, patiently answering all my questions and explaining the procedure in detail. On the day of surgery, the medical team ensured I felt safe and well-prepared. Post-operative care was excellent, nurses also monitored my condition closely and offered helpful guidance for home recovery. The environment was quite clean, organized, and calming. My breathing has significantly improved, and the discomfort I previously experienced from chronic sinusitis is gone. I truly appreciate the professionalism and compassion shown by everyone involved
Transferring care from a top rated hospital due to insurance issues has not been great. I have two major issues requiring me to see oncologists and hepatologists for major care. I chose UMMS due to the rankings and some reviews. I have been there to 4 different providers so far and the difference in quality of care from the top rated hospital to this one is great. I have yet to have a properly listed medication list by any of the providers I have seen. for instance a medication called topamax that I never remember ever taking was on the list for 2 visits until it was finally taken off. I told them each and every visit. Remember the list is STILL incorrect. I have yet to have clinical notes that are complete and correct. For instance despite sending out a list of current issues like headaches, not at all discussing them with the doctor the clinical notes state "denies headaches". So an affirmitive denial for items that were never discussed and told to them in prior communication a day prior and that letter brought up in the appointment. This is despite giving the information to them in writing prior to first visits to help them get caught up to speed of my extensive medical record. The clinical notes not being complete. for example I have extensive surgical records and they have had listed like 2 minor ones and didnt even list the huge ones I have had. The attention to detail is lacking in this respect and does not instill confidence in upcoming procedures. one additional star as the providers are nice and seem to be knowledgeable in their fields. Edit: thank you for offer for me to call and leave a message to wait to get called back. No thanks. I was detailed enough for you to glean information off of it. I didn’t even comment on MyChart which is full of broken links and has no useful information on upcoming visits or procedures.
Amazed by their passion to serve others.Trully called to provide selfless care happily. Update: I was in a coma and the icu here in July. I couldn't sit or walk when I woke up. They took amazing care of me and I was sent to rehabilitate at a facility following my stay and all Glory to our Lord Jesus Christ I was able to walk out of therapy on my own two feet one month later. I had been so sick for months prior and the wonderful surgical team operated on me and have been following up with me. This place truly saved my life. Thank you so much.
This place is horrible..my mom was reported to this hospital for a stroke and we never been in this hospital before, and so the workers/doctors are nice at first but later on while staying in the ER for couple hours and my mom moving into a room doctors start being rude and start having attitudes towards my mom all because my mom was in pain and her legs weren’t as good, so she would get in a lot of pain and every time she asked for Tylenol they always tell her "No you can’t swallow it" when she literally can swallow solid foods and drinks down.. so instead of giving her Tylenol they would give her Opioids which are fentanyl, fentanyl of course is a drug and contained opioids and they are overdosing my mom way to much of it and rather them giving her the actual pain reliever they decide to give her the opioid to shut her up basically..,and every time I see my mom she’s barley awake she’s always sleeping because she’s drugged so much from the opioid, she can’t even get a sentence out, that’s heart breaking to see and that’s not right, these Doctors should be understanding and caring about these patients, these doctors could kill the patients by giving them to much drugs. I don’t care if you having a bad day or bad attitude but don’t take it out on the patients and I don’t care if you didn’t wanted to come into work maybe you should’ve chosen a different job if you wasn’t able to have patience with people in the need of help for their health..
Cannot speak highly enough about the Pediatric Testing & Infusion Team as well as the Pediatric VAT team. That said, the facility and construction are causing unnecessary complications to providers and patients. Today, there were hardly enough elevators to accommodate people arriving to appointments on time and then delaying the providers schedules for the rest of the day.
Kasey Dunnivan in the food service department is the best and always on point! Relative of mine had her on unit C4 and she made sure food order was always accurate when she took it and repeated it back. If the order wasn't right she would go out of her way to go make sure it was corrected and another tray was sent up. Kasey was also very humorous and lifted my family member's spirits every time she came. She's definitely one of a kind in customer service. Appreciate her to the fullest, especially making sure that my relative is eating and enjoying their food during their stay. Thank you so much Kasey! 🙂
Extremely rude and unhelpful. Misdiagnosed me with something another doctor had ruled out, one of their nurses groped me and forced me alone in an exam room with them. They also made rude and irrelevant comments about my body and appearance. Honestly the DMV has better hospitality. I'd rather die than go back and I will be seeing real doctors who know what they are doing from now on.
