Exceptional Care and Compassion at U of M Hospital I can’t thank the University of Michigan Hospital enough for the incredible care they provided to my mom during her heart bypass surgery. From start to finish, the entire experience was handled with the highest level of professionalism, compassion, and cutting-edge medical technology. The surgical team used state-of-the-art equipment and procedures, which gave us great confidence and peace of mind throughout such a serious operation. After the surgery, the care didn’t stop—she received outstanding post-operative treatment and support that truly helped in her recovery. The staff, from doctors to nurses to aides, were not only skilled but also deeply caring. They treated us like family and always made sure my mom felt safe and supported. One of the most comforting aspects was how flexible they were with family visits. As long as you’re respectful of others healing, they allow family members to be with their loved ones nearly any time of day. That meant everything to us during such a critical time. I’m beyond grateful to U of M Hospital for giving my mom the care she needed and for treating our family with so much kindness. Truly one of the best hospital experiences we’ve ever had.

This is for the bariatric weight loss clinic. It's a reply I sent them. It's as simple as I have a letter from blue cross saying you told them specifically that I would not get a medical card. And if not I had to be marijuana free for 3 months. But that if I did have a medical card things can be arranged. My new Dr office said they just don't want me smoking it for a month. You also told them I said I would not get a card. That is a lie. I used to have one. If that's what they needed for me to have life changing surgery I could very easily get another one. See you and your colleague were adamant that there was to be none at all FOR INSURANCE PURPOSES! and it had to be for 6-8 months. Your colleague said if I still wanted to use THC that bariatric surgery wasn't for me. That was a lie. Blatant bold face scapegoat lie. We never discussed medical marijuana cards at all.You were willing to lie to the insurance. I don't feel safe with you. You are willing to compromise your patience trust their health and how others could actually help them and will . Lying to the insurance is unacceptable no matter what it is about. Including saying that I wanted to do the keto diet and not eat fruit veggies or healthy foods after surgery. Yet another lie. As I am mostly vegetarian now due to my diverticulosis. I can't do keto anymore. Or I wouldn't need bariatric surgery. It made me sick unfortunately. You also didn't put I have diverticulosis in the chart, or diabetes, just morbidly obese. I can't have excessive protein or FAT. That is keto.My colon could rupture and that's why I need surgery Keto It will make me very sick now. You lied and it is unacceptable. You will be held responsible. Especially if it further delays any further treatments I will be having at another hospital. You are a teaching hospital I have health conditions you clearly had no regard for as you didn't even note them down. You should be ashamed of yourselves you should work on figuring out how to work with my body as I am not just coming as some fat kid that can't control themselves. Another ignorant assumption you noted about the keto diet was that it's not just about meat and fat. It's about discipline, determination, self control, and how to eat sugar free and high protein. But I expressed I can't have excessive protein as it will make me constipated and FLARE UP MY DIVERTICULOSIS. It is appalling that a high credited teaching hospital used such generic care and disrespectful and lying to the insurance to what cover up your program policies? You should be ashamed of yourselves to dismiss a interesting medical condition other than being fat that actually makes it necessary. You didn't want to learn about me or my conditions or how to help therefore you are not a good doctor. You had no interest in learning how to work with my body and lied to the insurance about it. Making me look uncooperative or even trying to "fail" me. I'll get my surgery. I'm sure I'm already approved. You bad mouthed me to the insurance too. That's pathetic. I hope someone sues you and I am copying this to make it a review on the web site and where ever else I can.

I have never dealt with a less capable pharmacy. They tell you when things will be ready to pick up but then either make you wait hours or come back the next day because they’re not done. The employees are rude and completely unhelpful. They changed systems and suddenly all our scripts had to be re-sent in from doctors because they couldn’t be filled- but the pharmacy never notified us of this. They stopped delivering meds out of the blue and without notice. Absolutely awful, would never recommend to anyone.

They make decisions for you - without consent. Worst experience in my healthcare journey. And that's saying something considering I've been in constant pain since the age of 22. My GI ordered 12+ tests, some that required me to stay all day at the hospital, and felt they had reached the end of what a general GI could do. They sent a referral for me to see a functional specialist here. Someone on their team decided - without speaking with me OR my GI - that I didn't need a specialist. So I was scheduled with one of their general GI doctors. They didn't tell me of this change. So I waited months for an appointment where he didn't let me speak & ordered repeats of tests that had been done within the last year. Confused, I did some research & figured out I had made a lateral move. My GI once again sent a referral for a FUNCTIONAL SPECIALIST but it took 6+ months of back & forth for them to give me clear directions on how to do this. I needed permission from the doctor I shouldn't have been scheduled with to see the proper doctor. Then I waited weeks only to find out that 1 specialist, without talking to me or my GI or knowing anything about my situation, said he couldn't help me. The 2nd specialist said they'd see me ONE TIME only. Problem is that even though they schedule 8-9 months out there are no appointments available. So, in the most drawn out & hurtful way they refused to treat me. Could've told me that a year or more ago. I wouldn't have held onto hope that someone somewhere would be able to help me with this bomb in my gut that I live with daily.

Absolut crappiest pharmacy I have EVER BEEN TO. I get extremely sick without my medicine and they told my doctor that I don't have a profile so I couldn't get my medicine...well I went FOUR TIMES in two days and not once did they offer to even let me know that was the problem OR make me a profile!! Extremely rude to my doctor and nasty to me aswell and they just kept deleting my script that was being sent to them instead of telling me the issue or trying to fix it!!! THEY ARE THE ONES WHO MAKE THE PROFILE FOR ME!! why couldn't they tell me that and help me make one instead of telling my doctor and hanging up on her since it's their job to do NOT my doctor's.

It’s a lot of medical specialties in this building. Park in P2/P3. The parking will cost $3. Please do not schedule your clinic visits during the morning or evening rush. The traffic can be intense. The dermatology clinic here is just only okay. I’m sure they can help a lot of people but the PA who was assigned to me admitted she was not a hair specialist and was not familiar with the African American hair solutions. That was disappointing because I waited 6 months for my intake appointment. I sent in the required video and pictures of my issues. I was instructed to purchase a book on Amazon from a doctor who dedicated his life to studying minority textures.

As far my concern about where the person have socialize with the time of your visit may not understand value what you may ask them. My family works at u of m and very successful an what do they love there job and graduated from there. I think they number 1 hospital in state of Michigan and most top notch surgeon and they very consisted clean hospital. Have been that way for 13 years now. I having open heart surgery two days from knowing that have surgery team in my is the best in country ...😇😡😬😠maybe too go back ask them too repeat what you this rated review..
