SummitMD Dermatology Amarillo Texas

Walked out due to unclean environment. Went in to have an ingrown hair removed. They said they were going to shave it down to be even with the skin, however the "shave" wasn’t flat and they didn’t even get all of the infected area. Left a lop sided knot. Went back for them to "check how it healed" and while there a lady that was obviously very sick had a coughing episode. Coughing all over the place. Choking on her flem. All over the front desk and both doors to enter the office and go to the back. Coughing spit In her hands and then touching the door knobs. She stood in the hallway coughing nasty nonstop for 8 minutes straight. They ended up rescheduling due to her being sick but nobody sanitized even one thing! Absolutely disgusting. I get called back over an hour after my appointment ( nobody is moving like they are over an hour backed up) and wait in the back room for so long that I start looking around and notice how nasty the room they are preforming procedures in are. Cobwebs the size of my head, dust everywhere, dirty beds with peoples hair on them from other appointments before me. Someone accidentally walked in (did the same thing without knocking while I was changing into my gown the 1st appointment) and was in the wrong room. I was so disgusted that I just left. Now I have a cut that only took half the problem away. But I’m sure they charged my insurance and didn’t use the income to clean the office. Steer clear at all costs! Nasty and unsanitary!

Today was my first time going and im blown away how caring, kind everyone is. Genie is super sweet and takes her time explaining everything to you in detail. The MA was exceptional with all her duties. This was a wonderful experience compared to my other dermatologist. I’m excited we have a plan but more excited that this office actually cares about their patients well being 🩷

Unfortunately I had to do one star, I need to have a talk with my insurance because they recommended this dude. After four visits I never got anything done because the PA let it get infected because she didn't order me any antibiotics on the first visit then she tried to lie to the doctor that she did order antibiotics which the doctor wasn't there apparently he flies in from California maybe once a week. I decided after four visits he wasn't going to get anything done. They think they walk on water and are rude, and a physician with offices in every state how do they take care of any patients in a certain area. If you want good care go to somebody else.

The absolute worst medical practice in Amarillo. They do not answer the phone, schedule multiple appts at the exact same time, and the in office wait times are ridiculous. And you don’t see an MD. Called a total of 22 times , and left multiple messages trying to cancel an appt due to an emergency out of state. I was finally contacted by the office and rescheduled but then got another call from the office saying I missed my appt! I’m asking my Primacy Care Provider to refer me to another office immediately.

Great experience! While waiting for office to open, it was already clear I was in the right place. The other patients & I were visiting, & each one one said how much they liked Genie how much she had helped them. She & the staff were kind, most efficient & put me at ease immediately. I received thorough information, combined with a gentle touch & genuine concern for my continuing care. Thank you Genie & Staff!!!

two stars for getting me in quickly very nice 0 stars for follow up set another appointment but they were supposed to request information from my regular Dr. they never made the request, you cannot call them (I don't think their phone works) you can not email them because there is only a general email for contact to the corporate company and the server fails. They seem to know what they are doing but that doesn't do any good if they won't follow up and do it or allow you to contact them. I had to get my Dr. to send my information but who knows if their fax machine works their phone doesn't

Gave 1 star. But really I didn't want to. 3 visits and never saw the dr. Only the PA. The PA had her own agenda. When I ask questions, she talked over the top of me. Like what I had to say wasn't important. She was rude and arrogant. I ask to see the Dr and she said the Dr wasn't there.
