This place is wonderful! Everyone was so kind and friendly. The front desk was patient and accommodating when booking an appointment. The space is clean and bright with plenty of seating in the waiting area. Dr. Tudor and Ann, an assistant, were both very engaged throughout the appointment. They kept me informed about each process we went through. Dr. Tudor removed a stain on one of my front teeth that my previous dentist office had not and I’m so grateful! The cleaning was thorough. I feel much more confident smiling now! The front desk associates were clear about insurance coverage & costs and friendly upon check out. Amazing dental experience 🙂

I had a cleaning today and everyone was wonderful. Marielys checked me in and out of my visit and she was so nice. Dr. Garrandes and Karen were kind and so quick. I also appreciated Claire informing me on the process of teeth whitening, so I may do that on my follow up. Thanks again and see you all in June!

I needed to change my dentist and was in search for a new location. I was referred to Waltham Modern Dentistry and I was not disappointed. I was having severe tooth pain/sensitivity, and they were very accommodating and were able to get me in for an appointment within the week. When I came in for my appointment everyone was very professional and listened to all my concerns. They provided treatment on the spot that same day, which helped alleviate my symptoms. They also got me set up with a new retainer which is very good quality, especially when compared to my old retainer which dented and damaged easily. Keylla was my dental hygienist and she provided exceptional service. I cannot recommend her enough. I definitely will be coming back and continuing my dental care with Waltham Modern Dentistry. I highly recommend using this dental office for all your dental needs - high quality service all around. Thank you to all the staff at Waltham Modern Dentistry.

A friend of mine referred me to this dental office and I cannot say enough good things about them! From the moment you walk in the staff are all so welcoming and friendly! The space is modern and clean. Keylla does my dental cleanings and she is amazing! She always does such a great job, gentle but efficient. My teeth always look and feel refreshed after every cleaning she does on my teeth. Cannot recommend her enough! I highly recommend this dental office in general to anyone looking for a dental office that cares with good people and even better service! 🙂

I walked out of my appointment today. First, they failed to create the two appts for my children after I insisted on these appointments on the phone. Second, a good chunk of my appointment time was waiting for the person that handles the insurance to go over the treatment and costs break down. With insurance they wanted me to pay $3k. I told them I could not commit to this right now and would require a second opinion and would like to move forward with my cleaning. They were very pushy and the dentist attempted to use fear-mongering. I told her the money wasn’t going to magically appear and ended up leaving without my cleaning. I gave two stars because they did handle me having my two preschoolers in tow very well. But overall the practice seems shady and a couple times they did try to split me up from my 4 and 2 year old.

I had such a great experience at Modern Dentistry! Dr. Kim was very professional, gentle, and explained everything clearly which made me feel completely at ease. Brandon at the front desk was so welcoming and made the check-in and scheduling process super easy. Karen and Mariana, the assistants, were amazing—very kind, attentive, and made sure I was comfortable throughout my visit. The whole team truly works together to create a friendly and professional atmosphere. I highly recommend Modern Dentistry to anyone looking for excellent care and service!

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at this dental office. After insurance deductions, I was still charged approximately $600 out of pocket for a cleaning procedure—but the treatment was completely ineffective. My gums remain painful, inflamed, and continue to bleed. I reached out through the online patient portal and even sent a certified letter to express my concerns, but have received no response. The lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable, especially considering the high cost of treatment. I filed formal complaints with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office and the Board of Registration in Dentistry, however, they didn’t get any response from Dr Kim, either. I chose this office because it was in-network with my insurance (Blue Cross) and conveniently located. Although the staff were well-dressed, and the office looked clean and upscale. This was also my first dental visit of the year, so my insurance should have provided reasonable coverage. Despite that, the out-of-pocket cost was unexpectedly high. On top of that, I’ve had to spend more on floss and antiseptic mouthwash to try managing the issue myself at home. In addition to the deep cleaning, Dr Kim also tried to persuade me to have my wisdom teeth extracted, even though they’ve never caused pain or inflammation and don’t affect my bite in my 40 years life. I was also advised to get a custom mouth guard for nighttime grinding, which would have cost several hundred more dollars—I declined. I just needed a teeth cleaning. I would not recommend this practice based on my experience. Patients deserve effective care, transparent billing, and respectful, timely communication. And remember what Jenny said to Forrest Gump when you're thinking about visiting this dentistry: "Run, Forrest, run!"
