We brought our newborn daughter to Revive Dental for a tongue tie revision after experiencing significant pain during nursing. The procedure for her tongue tie was handled professionally, and the results were immediate—she nursed comfortably for the first time, and it completely changed our experience. For that, we’re grateful. However, I feel it’s important to share another side of our experience. The clinic strongly recommended that we also have a lip tie revision done, in addition to the tongue tie. My husband and I were initially unsure, but after consulting with our pediatrician, who explained that the lip tie was not severe or necessary to treat, we decided to decline the lip procedure. At our final follow-up visit, the doctor examined her lip and commented that it looked perfect and was healing great—despite the fact that no revision had been done. This confirmed for us that the additional lip tie procedure they recommended was unnecessary. It left us feeling that the clinic may have been upselling us on procedures that weren’t needed. As new parents, we were in a vulnerable position, and I can see how easy it would have been to agree to everything they suggested, especially without the guidance of a trusted pediatrician. I strongly encourage other parents to seek second and even third opinions when it comes to procedures like these. While the tongue tie revision at Revive Dental was excellent, I believe it’s important to approach recommendations with caution and ensure that every procedure is truly necessary. Your child’s care—and your trust—should always come first."

Dr Levine is absolutely amazing! He was recommended to me by three different friends after my finding out my 10 week old was gaining weight very slowly. We went to check for tongue/lip tie and found out my daughter had all three. We had the procedure done the same day and I won’t lie, I kept questioning myself for days if I made the right choice.
