I went in for a cleaning and they took X-rays, where they discovered my tooth crown was fractured. The dentist clearly explained the situation and options, which really helped me feel comfortable. The clinic itself is well-maintained, and the front office staff are very attentive, responsive . One of the best things is their extended hours—they’re open until 8 PM and they were able to get me a same-day appointment at the last minute. Overall, a great experience at a very professional and well-managed dental office.

Stay away if you don’t want a $900 surprise 14 months later. I’m writing this because I don’t want anyone else to go through the nightmare I’m dealing with at iSmile Sunnyvale. I had a major procedure here in late 2024 and paid exactly what they told me I owed on the day of surgery. I even went back three different times in 2025 for checkups, and every single time the front desk told me my balance was $0. Then, out of nowhere in January 2026—over a year later—they hit me with a bill for $900.90. When I asked how this was even possible, they admitted that their "in-office system" had an error and they just "left the claim open" for 14 months. Because they messed up their own paperwork for over a year, I'm now stuck in a mess: Insurance won't help: Delta Dental won't even look at the case because iSmile waited so long that the 180-day deadline is way past. HSA is messed up: I can’t even use my HSA funds from the year the surgery actually happened. No warning: They charged me $100 for a "consultation" but didn't bother to check with my insurance first (pre-determination) to see what would be covered. It feels completely predatory to tell a patient they owe nothing for a year and then demand a huge payment once it’s too late to fix the insurance side. Save yourself the stress and the "system errors"—go to a dentist that actually knows how to handle billing.

A responsible service spirit is required. I had an implant procedure 10 years ago, and the crown came off in April 2025, requiring a repair. I paid $661.80 for this procedure, including examination fees. However, the crown came off again after only 8 months, so I contacted the dental clinic. The clinic informed me that there would be additional costs for X-rays and other examinations, and that I could schedule an appointment if I was willing to pay. I'm not sure if it's reasonable for them to demand additional payment when the implant crown came off again only 8 months after the repair. I have doubts about the responsibility and competence of this dental clinic.

Honestly, trust this establishment. I called at 8am as a new patient. They were able to get me in as an emergency patient at 10 am. I was so impressed with the reception, reception area , and the best dental asst Ronnie. I was given quick entry, wonderful service. The Dr I appreciate so much. She was efficient, was gentle, was informative, and to my surprise was able to do 3 extractions and 3 bone grafts this very morning. I am now a life king patient. Please know I recommend them highly all around !!!

I would give negative rate to the endodontics doctor in this clinic if it's possible. I met him twice, one for my son and one for myself, and both are nightmare. I never saw a doctor as rude as him. After x-ray was done, he came in and said one of my teeth needed to be extracted and implant without any explanation. He only said two sentences: 1. the tooth needed removal and replaced 2. He has an opening the following week because of a cancellation. I asked him if there was any chance to save the tooth. He didn't even answer a single word but put down his gears and walked away and never came back! The same situation happened when I took my son for a consultation. He said my son needed root canal without any explanation. When I tried to ask a question he just walked away. I can't believe this kind of person can be a doctor. I will never come back to this clinic no matter how skilled he is which I highly doubt. Other staffs in this clinic are average but still not recommended.

I’ve been a patient here since 2012 and returned in 2023/2024 because fixing my smile has been a lifelong goal. In 2023, I was quoted around $6,300 to fix my implant and a side tooth and was told insurance would make it cheaper, so I waited until I had great coverage as a teacher. When I came back, the price suddenly jumped to $20,000, which I questioned but ultimately trusted because this was something I had planned for years. Unfortunately, after treatment started, I was told they were only working on my four front teeth, which I never requested, and not fixing the implant or side tooth—the entire reason I came back. I paid $5,500 for work I didn’t ask for, still don’t have the tooth I came for fixed, and was then told they would no longer accept me as a patient due to their own mistake. This leaves me unable to return if something goes wrong and forced to pay another dentist thousands more. The dentist himself did good work and apologized, but the business side lacked communication, accountability, and transparency. I felt unheard and misled. Advice to others: don’t come alone, ask multiple times, and have someone review the paperwork carefully.

I had several appointments here, and every time I come it gets worse and worse. Fist time, the dental assistant removed used xray plastic covering and then put the new plastic back on with the same gloves. Second appointment, I waited 40 minutes to see a specialist (that was referred by the dentist) that basically told me something completely unhelpful for 5 minutes. And the third appointment I am still waiting for 45 minutes for my scheduled appointment. If you want something quick and easy, do it! If you don’t want to feel miserable while getting your appointment, please go somewhere else.
