After the filling, my face and lips became swollen, which has never happened to me before. Then following is a viral mouth cold in my mouth, making it worse. I was charged more than the pre-visit insurance estimate. The process is so rushed. There were either long waiting time or the doctor was reluctant to talk but just wanted to finish fast. Scheduling was chaotic—I had to call multiple times, and issues were still not resolved. Over-treatment: not something my previous dentist had ever recommended.

Received a rushed cleaning & when the hygenist went to get the dentist, the dentist did not even look in my mouth, it appeared she was only there to sign off on the paperwork, nor did she make eye contact with me. On top of that, I was charged a premium fee to get a cleaning at this place because of their contract with my insurance.

In late 2024, Dr. Tu told me that I needed 3 fillings and a crown. I went to another dentist and she said that the tiny crack that I had on one of my molars is common and that it would be "completely unnecessary" and "such a shame" to crown that tooth. Also, two of the "cavities" that Dr. Tu found were just mild decay (not true cavities) from having braces and not brushing well in the back of my mouth. Essentially, I only had one real cavity that needed to be filled... yet I was told that I needed three fillings and a crown.... extremely disappointing to be told that I needed over two thousand dollars of dental work when that was not true according to the second opinion that I sought from a different dentist in the Bay Area. Overall, this dental office is fantastic, except this terrifying information that I needed $2500 of dental work when I didn't.

I had an amazing experience at Bay Smile Design and can't recommend Dr. Tu enough ! From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome, not to mention they have been in touch w/me prior to my appointment via texts. The front desk team was efficient and friendly, getting me checked in quickly. The office itself is spacious, modern, clean with calming vibe. I was nervous about my cleaning since I had been looking for good dental office/Dentist for sometime now, & had not seen a dentist in over a year, but Dr. Tu put me at ease right away. She was professional, gentle and took the time to explain every thing in detail w/o pushing any unnecessary treatments, which I really appreciated. Dr. Tu checked my X-rays and gave me honest feedback. My hygienist, Francis, was thorough yet careful and teeth felt sparkling clear afterwards. The entire visit was flawless. They have convenient parking and appointment started on time. I am looking forward to my next visit . If you are looking for a trustworthy caring dental team this is the place to go!

Dr. Lee is a reliable professional. He had installed a dental implant for me in 2014. The implant is still functioning. Whenever I have any implant questions I always go to his clinic. He has been very helpful and I highly recommend him.

The dental care provided by Dr. Richard Lee and his team is very professional and pleasant. The staff are patient and friendly. The office is very clean and comfortable. The dental equipment is up to date with the latest technology. Dr. Lee is very knowledgeable and has lots of experience in dentistry. He executes dental implants with exceptional accuracy and care. I highly recommend Dr. Lee and his team for dental service.

Regular cleaning and exam appointment was setup quickly. Promptly met by the nurse to do a set of x-rays before the cleaning/exam started by the dentist. Overall experience was very attentive and professional, with clear communications of the dental health status, and area that needs to be monitored and looked at in the next scheduled cleaning/exam visit. Thumbs up!
