If you have dental anxiety and you need nitrous, call around and price different dentist. We didn't know the dentist can charge whatever his little heart desires to charge a patient. Key West chargers over $200 for nitrous, call around, we found a wonderful dentist who charges $45 for nitrous and does warm injections also.

To office. If your policy is not to drive to appt. When taking diazepam , then tell me that you can not see me if I drive. Don’t tell me " try and find a ride". I get there and a dentist whom I have ever met said she wouldn’t see me. I was already in your damn office and told you I may be able to get a ride home. New office for me and likely my family. Side note, when we get our teeth cleaned we expect to see the dentist even if it’s briefly. That is completely unprofessional. Don’t bother responding. See your 4.1 rating falling more in the future. Grady job of screwing up an office I have going to for 25 years.

I wasn't going to write a review but I decided that maybe someone else could use this information before going here. I went to Key West Dental because I had a crowned tooth break off and I already had a top partial. I was convinced to "save money" and not have another partial made but instead have all my crowned top teeth pulled and just have a denture made. The lady who did the "mold" of my upper teeth left my partial in and told me it wouldn't matter. That was a lie... the denture that was given to me was so big that it did not stay in place at all and I was given the excuse that it wouldn't fit correctly anyway...confused about that part. So they maxed my dental insurance for the whole year for this and I had to pay almost $800 out of pocket. They sent me to an oral surgeon that caused nerve damage in my left cheek and a small fracture in my lower left jaw. I was left to heal for more than 8 months and after healing, I was left with a denture that never fit even with dental adhesive. I was not able and still not able to eat any type of food with the denture in either. So going out to eat with the family has stopped since December of 2024. Hope this helps others decide if this location is best for them. I never went back...

Dr Meghan Layne and her staff are absolutely phenomenal! We took my 4 year old in for his first dental appointment and I was blown away by how great the staff was with him. They told him what to expect before they did it, as well as explaining it, and he did so great. A totally different experience than what I thought it was going to be for him! He got to take a picture to be on the "no cavities club" wall and when we left he asked when he got to come back! We can’t wait to bring the whole family back.

I had an appointment scheduled for a very painful tooth which I had to wait 4 days for because of my work hours. My mom scheduled the appointment for me and told them what insurance I have. They called and left a message for me the day before my appointment telling me that they had canceled my appointment because there was no insurance information. They said they rescheduled me for June which is 4 months away!!! I called them right after I received that message and they said my appointment time was taken. They tried to schedule me for a time when I have another doctor appointment scheduled. My family have been patients of Key West Dental since the 1990’s and always had such great care. Since the original dentists have passed or retired, the office staff left as well. We would never have been treated so poorly before in the past. We were always taken care of immediately for problems. I will never return to this office and my mother has made the same decision. Dr. Montgomery would cringe if he knew how his long time patients were treated so carelessly. We thought the world of him and his staff.

So I’ve been coming to Key West Dental my whole life and have never had any issues… They just recently changed owners.. I get a message from them earlier this week saying I have an appointment Thursday.(which I never scheduled to begin with) Anyways I drive an hour from my house and I show up today at the time they originally sent me.. They told me I was late… I showed the text of the confirmation showing it was the time I was there.. They said they couldn’t see me still… So I drove 2 hours home in rush hour traffic… Wasted 3 hours of my life! I’m really bummed this was my first experience with the new owner.. This new ownership is very disorganized, and the customer service was terrible. I’m sure it’s obvious that I would not recommend this practice to anyone. I hope they can figure things out… but I will not be around to find out.

Our family has gone to Key West Dental for years, first with Dr. Sabo and now with Dr. Layne. They are very kind and professional.
