Sentara Halifax Dental Clinic

The absolute worst dental place in Virginia. They care nothing about clients or their needs. I need a new set of Dentures, its been 2. 1/2yrs since I got my original set. I moved closer to South Boston VA. and they were recommended, and the closest place to where I currently live, When I called they said "come on in and fill out the paperwork", so I did, and they, NOT knowing the Medicaid rules, said "It hasn't been 5 years and Medicaid wont cover a new set and there was nothing they could do for me. I researched and found out, if they are 'medically necessary' which they are, they are indeed covered. So they are liars and untrustworthy. I lodged an official complaint today, and am waiting to hear the outcome...

They only accept New patients aged 6 and under. This is what I was told when attempting to schedule a scaling appointment. I believe this should be mentioned in the description services of the facility to prevent adults wasting time.

They have the rudest and most unprofessional office staff I have ever experienced in a facility. I was called 2 days and told they had to reschedule my appointment after I had been waiting over 6 months mind you they make you pay prior to making an appointment. When I asked the lady when would I could reschedule she replied "I don’t know I will have to call you back" So I then asked when would I get a call back again " I don’t know!" I said well that is just unacceptable to me and I asked could I have her name she replied "I don’t have to give you my name and I’m not going to argue with you!" She then hung up in my face! I called back and a Tamara or Tammy Fallen answered and gave her name and was very rude and said I could report her she did not care and hung up in my face. So I went over there and then I could finally speak with the office manager whom was very understanding and professional Charlotte. She knew how to properly de-escalate the situation something the other office staff were not trained on apparently! I got my refund and will be going elsewhere. They need to fire and hire new office staff who know how to handle clients the right way. I have reached out to Human Resources to report this incident as well. You don’t represent your company you work for like that!

I don’t know what all the fuss is about in these reviews, I’ve been coming here for YEARS and so has the rest of my family. They have taken great care of my teeth. The whole staff is simply fantastic. I imagine I’ll be going to this dental office until the day I die, that’s how highly I think of this group.

I'm new to the area and haven't picked a dentist yet. I chipped a filling and needed to get in asap. I called to schedule an appointment. No one answered. I called again. The receptionist was totally unprofessional and rude. She informed me they aren't taking any new patients after finding out I had private insurance, then hung up on me. They had no intention of calling me back. They didn't refer me to anyone else. Horrible customer service.

Not accepting new patients and kind of rude about it... dont waste time calling.

I was calling to cancel my appointment nobody answer next day someone very rude call me that I wasn’t available to make a new appointment or bring my kids they kick my whole family out because I missed one appointment , great dentist but the service is bad
