Scottsdale Modern Dentistry

I found the Staff to be very professional and I was greeted with a pleasant smile. Dr, Jantz, Nikki -, Hygienist and Beto-Dental Assistant to be knowledgeable, friendly and very professional as well. Dr. Jantz took the time to explain what he saw on my X rays and then what his plan would be. He explained things in such a way that I would understand and he spent time making sure to answer my questions. Nikki did the same by explaining her plan for my cleaning and suggestions to help keep my gums healthy. I could tell she cares about her patients. Berto took the X rays and explained the need for each one. He assisted Dr.Jantz with replacing a composite filling and, together, they made a great team. Both checking i on me to make sure I was ok. I would recommend Scottsdale Modern Dentistry to anyone looking for exceptional and quality dental care with a Staff that cares and wants to make their patients are comfortable and relaxed during their visit. I have had several appointments with Scottsdale Modern Dentistry, and each time I leave their office with a smile. The front staff is very welcoming, and they handle the front office duties efficiently, but we even have some laughs along the way. My dentist is Dr. Chris Jantz who is extremely kind, friendly and always willing to listen to my needs. I never feel rushed, he takes all the time you need. I am so happy I found this dental practice, I recommend them whenever I can. The hygienists are competent and fun. Dr. Kim is also with the practice and I have seen him several times. His skills are exemplary and I appreciate knowing he's there if I need them. They also have state-of-the-art equipment which speeds up the process if you need something made. I'm telling you honest and true, this practice is the best I have ever been to, and I will continue to see them. Dental appointments are not often (never) at the top of my list, but this practice is excellent. I hope you'll give them a try. The office staff are super friendly and helpful, the dental staff (including Dr. Jantz) were friendly, informative, honest, attentive to your needs, and actively want what's best for you. My very first visit was for a tooth issue, and even though they were down 1 person that day, the team was committed to doing everything they could to make me feel prioritized and like they had my back. After that visit there was a complication in my recovery (not their fault), and they made sure to squeeze me in the day of my call to make sure that it was addressed swiftly and accurately, as they wanted to make sure I was all good-to-go before the holidays. And their more modern approach was very refreshing to me. They made such a positive lasting impression on me, so you bet I'll be recommending them to friends/family!!

Just had my cleaning with Nikki Congdon, couldn’t have gone better! She’s so thorough and very friendly, always look forward to my appointments with her. Dr. Jantz is great as well, very detailed with his exam and appreciate all the recommendations. I feel like I’m in good hands here and trust that the providers have my best interest in mind.

I had a positive experience at Scottsdale Modern Dentistry. The exam and cleaning were thorough, everything was clearly explained to me, the staff and dentist were friendly and professional, the facility is clean and modern. I was able to get an appointment quickly rather than waiting for months. Highly recommend!

The staff here were very pushy with sales. I went in for a regular cleaning, that I do every 6 months, that should be covered by insurance; I was told I needed extra services for $110. Then was pushed by the receptionist and dentist to get cavity prevention services that cost hundreds of dollars; I tried declining the service but was guilted by multiple Staff members and offered a waived deposit to get the service. I ultimately paid around $500 for what should’ve been a regular cleaning. I felt like the staff here valued selling services over my comfort and awareness of what the services were. I would recommend another modern dentistry site, or getting second opinions.

I had to issue a formal complaint with my insurance company about this office and was refunded for my last few visits. The final straw was when my daughter developed bleeding gums and severe pain. One visit, the dentist said it was her wisdom teeth. At the next, they changed the diagnosis to needing a $1,300 "deep cleaning" despite her having had a regular cleaning just few months earlier. This didn’t make sense, so we sought a second opinion at a family practice dentist. They immediately discovered she was having an allergic reaction to her toothpaste. No deep cleaning was needed, in fact, it would have made her pain worse. Instead of solving the issue, Scottsdale Modern Dentistry tried to push an unnecessary, painful, and expensive procedure. In our experience, this office is rough, inconsistent, and far more focused on chasing money than on patient care. Every visit there seemed to be a different dentist, and there was never a sense of trust or continuity. Do yourself a favor — there are many excellent family-owned dental practices in Scottsdale that will take the time to know you and care for you properly. I cannot recommend this office to anyone.
