I have been with Santa Barbara Smiles Dentistry for several years and appreciate all the good work Dr. Layus and staff have helped me with. My teeth get stained easily although I try my best to eliminate staining food or drink. Nadia, my dental hygienist does an excellent job of removing those stains and helps me to restore my teeth to pearly whites…. That makes me feel good and want to smile more often to show them off. Thank you Nadia, Dr. Layus and Staff for all you do.

Five stars hands down from the moment walk in through the door to when you leave. The staff are friendly and warm. Dr. Layus has the patience of an angel. He listens to the patient’s needs. He explains what he is going to do and why. The dental hygienists are amazing at what they do. I got two fillings done in less than an hour and a half. It’s affordable and close to downtown at a great location with plenty of parking in the back. If you go there, make sure to try the tamales at the bakery across the street!! I would recommend to anyone!

Been going to Dr Layus office for several years. He has taken the time to explain what work I need and why. The dental hygienist is awesome. The first time I had a dentist give me a mirror to look into my mouth and point out my dental issues, not just in an x-ray. He replaced my old 30+ year silver filling with modern white fillings. Had some friends comment how my mouth looks better without silver fillings. The dental hygienist takes the time to properly clean every single tooth. Gives advice on proper dental cleaning. If needed, gives advice on how to clean any problem area. I recommend Dr. Layus office to friends and family. He's chill and does good work.

Nadia, is a fantastic dental hygienist. She cleaned my teeth so well my teeth were pearly white again. Nadia also helped me clean my bite guard with an ultrasonic cleaner helping remove tartar and bacteria that can cause tooth decay

From creating an appointment, providing directions, getting notifications, to the staff it was truly an amazing experience! Everyone was more than willing to provide assistance and answer questions. My hygienist gave me helpful life changing tips and educated me on my dental health. I really appreciate all the effort put forth by the entire team! The staff is so friendly and is doing a wonderful job!

I’ve had a great experience. The staff is welcoming and professional, and the Nadia was thorough, gentle, and take the time to explain everything clearly. The office is clean and well-organized, and I always feel well cared for during my visits. Highly recommend!

On Thursday night, I had a dental emergency. My dentist had an ai attendant answer my calls and inform me no one would be back in the office for 3 days, that there was no backup dentist, or referral. Dr. Layus’ office took me right in and Dr. Layus worked to expertly put in a temporary crown. His staff was so kind and knowledgeable. So helpful! Thank you!
