Platinum dental was great. I took both my daughters there for a free exam and X-ray . The staff was very friendly and the doctor was great . Very friendly and down to earth got along with my kids great. Would definitely go back and recommend to other people.
Dr. Bailey is by far one of the best dentists I’ve ever met. She explains everything clearly and in a way that’s easy to understand, so you always know what’s going on with your teeth. She’s a true perfectionist and takes great pride in her work. I came to her through a recommendation, and now I’ll definitely be recommending her to others. She’s attentive, thorough, and makes sure you understand each step of the process.
If you have any dental care anxiety/trauma, this is not a good place for you to get care. They know how to do their job well and I had a great experience with T (dental assistant). The dentist i saw was also very informative and helpful. Unfortunately a dental assistant who's name i believe is Katrina (could be off on the name) was extremely rude. They were trying to take my bite, and for some reason I could not get it straight. I'm not sure if it's because the right side of my face was numb, or because I usually chew on the left side of my face due to the dental issues with my right. Either way, my bite was coming out crooked. The dental assistant i saw today kept getting increasingly agitated and eventually started snapping at me angry. So I tried to explain that I did hear what she was saying (that I needed to bite correctly), but that for some reason it wasn't working (which i said hoping to see if there was a way for me to see why I kept doing it wrong). I think she thought i was disagreeing with her and she got even more upset and snapped at me. I then told her I needed a second because I was about to have a panic attack (I got so overwhelmed with how angry she was for something that seemed like no big deal, grouped with me not being able to move from the chair). She moved her hands around in exasperation and stormed off, went to go talk to the dentist loudly about me. Mind you, I have had 2 panic attacks my entire life. I dont get them, and I was about to. The dentist then came and was so sweet, apologized to me and told me its because the dental assistant is going through a family tragedy. I think the hardest part is that I think there was still 25 mins left of the appointment and I had to sit trying not to sob loudly, with tears streaming down my face, for the rest of the appointment. It was humiliating. I just wanted to run out of there, but obviously couldn't. Its so strange because everyone there has been so kind. The previous dental assistant was amazing (her name was T). So kind and human. The dentists were great, the receptionists were great. But another thing that made me not trust this place again is that she was not talked to about her behavior and nothing was done to fix the situation. If you just saw her storm off angrily from me and you are having to apologize to me, please at least dont have her come back in to work on me once shes calm, and im now having tears down my face. It was even more humiliating. And it came off as being enabled. I debated on whether I should post this or not, because the dentist did tell me the dental assistant is going through a family tragedy. I dont think she should be fired or even get into trouble at all. I'm sure she is normally professional and kind. I just couldnt believe how enabled the situation felt. I'm not sure if there is a failure in management where staff isn't getting proper time off (paid, so they can afford it) to heal from tragedies in the family. But if that is the issue, please give her proper time off to rest & heal. It's not appropriate to make people work when they are going through something immensely stressful I dont think any individual there is cruel, but the way it was handled was extremely humiliating. I have never had such a bad experience with neither hospital nor dental staff anywhere. Only neutral, good, amazing, or not as good (which happens and honestly whatever). It wasn't just that she was allowed to be like that to me, it's the fact she just could be back in the room while I cant even get up, & im still in the chair crying over her behavior. I dont want discounts for anything or anything free. I just want to spare someone else this experience. While I am not angry with anyone, at the end of the day dental or medical workplaces need kindness due to vulnerability. Medical and dental fears sometimes do exist for no concrete reason, but sometimes its due to bad bedside manner. Its not ok. Edit: temp tooth they put in fell out just now. I was there an hour ago and just bit a banana on the opposite side
I had a tooth break and my dentist couldn’t get me in until Friday. So I looked online and found Platinum Dental. They were amazing!!! They walked me through everything step by step. They were transparent with the cost and they were so nice! The Dentist was the best I have had since my favorite dentist moved away 5 years ago. I have been to a lot of dentist and now I can look no further. Platinum Dental had a customer for life!
Michaela was wonderful to work with as usual!! She is a very skilled hygienist with great personal attributes. A total joy! The Doc also got a small chip fixed right away, which both looked great and made it very convenient to not have to book another appointment!!
I chose this facility based off the photos; I appreciate the more private setting of the rooms versus everyone being in one large room. I’m excited to work with a group of doctors that all have the same vision for my health plan moving forward. Everyone I met was caring, professional, polite and eager to help. I look forward to my results!
Dr Jason Hodge is the BEST dentist I have ever been to! If you aren't happy with your current dentist, I would highly recommend you make an appointment with Dr Hodge at Platinum Dental of Sandy! I can't forget the staff! They are beyond superb!
