Roanoke Dental Center - Electric Rd

Having moved to Roanoke recently, my husband and I had our first dental appointments. The staff at Roanoke Dental were very kind and professional. Amy and Tony were our hygienists and they were both excellent. Dr. Smith was very thorough and professional. We were very pleased and have scheduled our appointments in six months.

This was my first time here at Roanoke Dental after getting scheduled with Zain who is part of their office staff. She got me in very quick as i was in need of my six-month cleaning and i really appreciated her! I had a cleaning with Amy, who was very sweet and she took care of my teeth and made me want to come back and see her for my next six month cleaning!

guys I'm being so genuine I really do not recommend this dentist... I think my teeth have always been fine / average until I came here. I came for just routine cleaning initially, which turned to needing cavities filled. I've had this done before, no biggie. however, my first session was EXTREMELY painful, the worst pain I've had in a medically setting ever. Idk if they numbed me wrong or what but I was literally trembling in the chair. The FILLING FELL OUT while I was eating THE NEXT DAY and I was like, it's ok mistakes happen, go in and get it fixed. I had to pay for the fix, but at least had no pain during this session. Everything is always rushed and impersonal, (not huge thing for me cuz I'm not much of a talker anyway). But ANOTHER FILLING FELL OUT, this time while I wasn't even eating or drinking or anything. I cannot trust this dentist's work, and am now wondering how much damage they've actually done and have to consult with my long term orthodontist. UPDATE: I did wanna add my first initial cleaning however, was with Amy and she was WONDERFUL ❤️

★☆☆☆☆ Extremely Disappointing and Unusable Denture – Very Unhygienic Service I visited Roanoke Dental Center (2660 Electric Rd, Roanoke) on 09/29/2025, 10/13/2025, and 11/05/2025 to get a new upper denture made. I had a bad experience last year at another clinic, but I never expected an even worse and more stressful experience this time. From the very first visit, the office had my information completely mixed up with my wife’s records. Even after giving my insurance card, they still had my name and address wrong, and I waited over an hour in the dental chair before being seen. The hygiene standards were extremely concerning. My dentures were placed carelessly on the counter or even handed to me to hold. After taking impressions, they did not properly clean my denture, my mouth, or the leftover putty and wax on my face. My lower denture was not placed on a tray while they worked on the upper one. I never expected such unhygienic treatment in the USA. During almost every visit, the doctor and assistant were busy talking among themselves instead of focusing on my procedure. On the trial day, I immediately had major issues — I could not speak properly (especially with "s" sounds), could not chew, and the denture was extremely tight. The doctor even used a hammer to remove the denture he had just made. When I returned with my final denture, it was completely unusable. I could not speak, chew, bite, or remove it without difficulty. After charging me $$$$, the doctor made adjustments but finally admitted he could not fix it and that he has no experience making dentures. He then advised me to visit another doctor (Dr. Rohit Kumar) and pay again for a new denture and lab fees. He offered to waive his charge or transfer my insurance authorization — but why should I pay even more for a mistake that is not mine? My health insurance has already paid for an upper denture that I cannot use at all. I am left with a denture that is not wearable, not functional, and completely useless. I am extremely disappointed, frustrated, and financially burdened by this experience. I am sharing this review so others can avoid going through the same stress and poor-quality service that I did. My visit at Roanoke Dental Center is always great. My hygienist Darienne is amazing!! She has a wonderful personality, very helpful. I will definitely recommend RDC to everyone.

As someone who was terrified when I arrived, the whole staff was extremely kind, and patient. Took their time to make sure I was comfortable, can't thank them enough. Explained everything to make the process as easy as possible. Highly recommend, Roanoke Dental Center.

I give this place 2 stars because the older Dental hygienists are the best. Aahley at the front is great too.. Unfortunately when I go there i always get the young girls who take no pride in their work. They shorten some of the steps in the cleaning process and seems as if they are not confident in using the cleaning tools especially scraper. She barely touch my teeth with the scraper and told me she was done. I have been going to dentists for years and this is the worst dental cleaning. I have relatives who went with me and got the older ladies on 2 occasions and they had a better cleaning experience. These young hygienists will damage any business. After a clean, My teeth cannot feel the same way it felt walking in. Shame on you, I was so frustrated after the clean, I felt like I was robbed- paid for a service I didn't receive. I went on Amazon and bought the equipments and polisher and cleaned my teeth my self. Searching for a new dentist.
