Customer Reviews
Roanoke Dental Care has a rating of 4.5 out of 5 based on over 529 reviews on Google
I have been a client at Roanoke Dental Care for the past 5 years that I've lived here. I have always felt very welcomed, and I have never had to encounter judgment that I may have anticipated based on my own embarrassment. Dental hygienist Andi and dentist Dr. Howard are excellent, efficient providers. Andi has done my routine cleanings for years, and her positive attitude and attention to detail make me feel relaxed in that chair because I know I'm in great hands. I met Dr. Howard for the first time today (with a dental tech who usually works in the Christiansburg office who worked so well alongside Dr. Howard). I had reserved 1.5 hours for the fillings, but as a pleasant surprise, he demonstrated his level of expertise by not only in finishing my treatment in under an hour, but doing so without cutting any corners. Dr. Howard actually exceeded standard expectations for quality in every aspect, and I was very happy to receive dental care for him.
Everyone here is so kind! They are extremely professional and my appointments always feel like they go by quickly. I would recommend them to anyone!
Crown work is shoddy, care is subpar - one of the two permanent crowns I got there broke within days and the other two had to be replaced within 2 years (one fell off, the other was already cracked) and I was in constant pain. I saw 5 different dentists at this place for the same issues, seemingly a rotating residency. I can't stress enough that you should find a better dentist, I did.
I love the team here the where able to get me cleaned and out in no time. And when they found a cavity they where able to get me in. Very quickly, this will be my fifth year coming here.
Definitely fast to get in with them but the communication is a breakdown. Went with impression of full new patient X-rays and exam with a plan was also told maybe can address one tooth. I get there front desk lady was very nice. Then comes a gal calls my name doesn’t wait for me at door walks back I stop like who and where am I going we get to the back small room separated by curtain like in a closet dirty their exam light so stained yellow and cracked. She started off with what are you here for I explained and she said we can do limited xray and make a plan for you to come back. Well I have insurance not looking for limited exam I need whole exam so insurance isn’t nickel and dime then costing me more. Then she decided to introduce herself as Lisa. That would have been nice if she introduced herself in the beginning. I felt like she didn’t care and was rushing talking to me then I said not sure what we are doing if not addressing one issue a limited exam this is waste of time. In the past at previous dentist a new exam is full X-rays meet with dentist make a plan. Then she proceeded to say well I’m the only dental assistant here today so I can’t be in "two places at one time. ". Well I got a bad vibe gut feeling after meeting her didn’t feel comfortable so I left. I will save my insurance benefits and my pocketbook for where I feel comfortable and not a dirty environment and rudeness. I figured the good reviews I read before was a good sign but I definitely didn’t get good vibe. I felt like I was in a dirty closet with a rude assistant who couldn’t be clear on what I was going to receive that day. I have never had this bad gut feeling at a dental place before. I am sure others have great experience but this was mine. If you’re short handed don’t complain about it to a new patient. Update your office and cleaning as well. You should start with hi my name is Lisa I will be assisting in your care today. Not rushing and telling me you’re the only assistant. For someone who already has anxiety about going that was not the person to greet me and the office just wasn’t comfortable in atmosphere. Seemed cold, dark, cluttered and not very clean. I chose to leave and get service elsewhere.
Andie is the best hygienist I have ever had! She is professional, knowledgeable, very careful and detail-oriented, and she makes you feel so comfortable. Moreover, she is super sweet and such a pleasure to talk to!
Have them my insurance info several times, days before the appointment The day of the appointment, I show up a little early, give them my insurance card, and then wait until well after my appointment time So I left They called a few minutes later and left a message saying they were still trying to verify my insurance They obviously don't have their act together, and I'll not be going back
