I was terrified to go to the dentist because it was my first time ever. I had never had any dental procedures before and always thought my teeth were fine, so finding out I had a cavity really scared me. I kept delaying my appointment again and again because I was so anxious. But when I realized I couldn’t delay it anymore, I finally decided to see a doctor and went to O2 Dentist, where I met Dr. Sarah. I honestly don’t have enough words to describe how amazing she is. No matter what I say, it still won’t fully capture how kindly and gently she treated me. She did my crown completely pain-free. She told me beforehand that even the injections would be painless, and I’ll admit—I didn’t believe her at first. I kept thinking, how can an injection not hurt? But she proved me wrong. It was truly pain-free. Dr. Sarah was super sweet, incredibly caring, and very patient. She answered all my questions calmly and made sure I felt comfortable the entire time. She’s not just an excellent doctor—she’s a beautiful human being as well. If you’re scared of dentists or looking for someone you can truly trust, Dr. Sara is the one. You will absolutely not regret it. -Ayesha

For my first experience, I can say i will be returning and I do recommend. The staff were friendly and very family oriented. I met Olivia, Shaniya and Dr. Lydia and they were amazing. They treated my request with care and precision. the entire team is phenomenal. I look forward to them keeping my teeth right, bright and white ! 🙂

I am not usually one to leave reviews, but due to consistent negative experiences, I feel compelled to. My very first visit with this office, the link to fill out my paperwork was an invalid page. When I arrived, i let the receptionist, Denise, know the link texted to me to prefill my documents was not working. I was told that if my insurance couldn’t be contacted prior to my appointment time, I’d have to come back another day. My end goal was to get Invisalign treatment as soon as possible. I was told I would need oral surgery to have my wisdom teeth remove prior to Invisalign treatment. No problem! I scheduled my surgery and waited a few months for swelling and discomfort to subside. I call to make an appointment for an Invisalign scan. Upon speaking with Denise, she said I needed to have a post op appointment. She let me know that following the post op appointment, my scan could be performed. I take time off work to make this appointment. I receive a phone call the same day of my appointment letting me know my insurance would not cover a post op appointment because it had been too long. I said that was fine, I just wanted to get my Invisalign treatment plan, I only scheduled the post op bc she had told me I needed to. She says she can get me in the following day for a cleaning and they can perform my Invisalign scan after the clean. Once I arrive the next day for my appointment, she lets me know that my insurance will not cover a clean for another 2.5 weeks. I also was required to get a clean prior to my scan. Due to the frustration and urgency I have at this point in time, I decide to pay the out-of-pocket. On top of all the back and forth, during my cleaning, the tool slipped any cut my gums twice. After my scan was complete, She quoted me a monthly payment, which was double what was discussed in the room. I tell her that the numbers did not add up between my down payment and the amount of months. She insists that it was correct and just keeps repeating herself that "this is the monthly payment." After a good 5 minutes of no additional information, I pull out my calculator and do the math beside her and ask her to help me see where I am misunderstanding. She says she will get the dentist to look at it. The dentist confirms there is a miscalculation and that Denise quoted my monthly payment as double. Denise says the accurate numbers will be provided to me via email. The accurate numbers were never emailed to me. Fast forward four weeks: I was quoted 2-4 weeks for Invisalign to be ready for me. I asked when I had my scan if the holiday season would extend the timeframe. I was told that they’re pretty good about staying with the 4 weeks. Today, I called at the 4 week mark as I have heard nothing. Once again, I am speaking with Denise. She informs me that it is 4-6 weeks until the Invisalign is ready. Everything I have done with this dentist office has been ridiculously difficult. I feel like I am stuck for the next two years, since I have already ordered my Invisalign. As soon as my treatment is finished, I will be looking for a new dentist. It’s a shame because the kids dentist that is attached to this one is wonderful and I love it for my daughter. I do not recommend O2 dental practice to anyone.

I’m extremely disappointed with O2 Dental due to their ongoing lack of communication and professionalism. I had been a satisfied patient for about two years, but my recent experiences have been frustrating enough that I will not be returning. At one appointment, I needed to provide updated dental insurance information. I was told to call the office, but when I did, no one answered. It took several days to receive a response. Once my appointment was finally scheduled, I arrived only to be told I’d need to come back at a later time because no one had entered my insurance information—despite the office receiving it days in advance. This was entirely due to their oversight. No one acknowledged or seemed to care about the inconvenience of me taking time off work to attend an appointment, only to be turned away because they hadn’t done their job. More recently, I needed to reschedule an appointment. I called multiple times, left several voicemails, and even sent a text message, all with no response. When someone finally returned my call, I was spoken to in a rude and dismissive manner, as if I were an inconvenience rather than a patient. I’m not sure if there has been a change in management, ownership, or staff, but the level of communication and customer care has significantly declined. It’s disappointing to end a relationship with a practice I once trusted, but based on these repeated issues, I can no longer be a patient here.

5 stars for Dentist & Dental Assistant!!! I had a truly wonderful experience with the dentist and dental assistant at O2 Dental Group in Raleigh. I came in feeling anxious and even tearful because of past traumatic dental experiences, but the dentist took her time, made sure I was completely comfortable, and helped me relax throughout the entire procedure. Her gentle, caring approach meant so much, and I’m genuinely grateful for the way she cared for me. However, the experience at the front desk — both when I arrived and when I was leaving — was quite different. The reception/finance staff came across as unkind and unwelcoming, which really affects how a patient feels walking in. My husband, on a separate visit, shared that he had the same experience with those ladies, so I believe there’s an opportunity for coaching in that area. While some costs felt higher than expected, the dentist explained everything clearly and made adjustments to ensure I still received great care. Overall, despite the poor first and last impressions from the front desk, the dentist and assistant turned what could have been a stressful visit into a genuinely positive one.

This was, without a doubt, one of the worst practices I've ever interfaced with. First, I scheduled an emergency appointment here for their opening time slot. When I get there the receptionist tells me there's no appointment but they'll try to "squeeze me in" as if they're doing my a favor by losing my appointment and still taking me. I ended up waiting two hours to get a 5 minute procedure done. My retainer wire was cutting into my gums and I wanted it trimmed. No cleaning, no x-ray, nothing. I was in the back for over an hour, no one ever acknowledged that I waited over two hours. My wife and I gave them the benefit of the doubt, mostly because they're close to our home. She scheduled an appointment there for a cleaning. She is pregnant but has a note from her doctor approving any dental work but no x-ray unless medically necessary. The receptionist (salesperson?) then tried to get her to pay for a special up-charged x-ray that would take her copay from $0 to $10. When she declined because of the doctors note they took the special x-ray off and said she would have to consult with someone in the back about the routine x-ray. She goes to the back, waits, has to again refuse an x-ray from a tech, all to then be told by the hygienist that she is being declined care because she declined the x-ray. We will not be coming back here. In our interactions they have demonstrated that there is no communication between their staff, their systems and schedules are completely unreliable and that they are unaccommodating and rigid in the care that they do (eventually) offer. My pregnant wife should not be in the back waiting for care before finding out that you don't have a refusal form or honor a doctors letter.
