Petaluma Modern Dentistry

My dentist is great, very nice staff and office but they will not allow me to have a proper cleaning with a hygienist. A cleaning with a hygienist is routine and proper preventive maintenance. The dentist does a quick job.. not as thorough.

Not a place to go if you want to keep your teeth. I went in to have a broken very large filling replaced as 1/2 of it had fallen out leaving very sharp edges in my mouth. They refused to fill it for 2 years, now the tooth is severely sensitive and will likely need to have to pull it. I will never understand why they refused and they claim they were never asked, but a large hole in a tooth should never be ignored. I don't know why I bothered going back after the first visit, but I really wanted to trust my health care advocates.

I needed to get in for an emergency and I am so glad I found these guys! Their kind manner and friendliness was out of this world, both on the phone and when I arrived in the lobby. For my procedure the doctors were friendly and put you at ease, took great care of you, were fast and painless. Highly recommend if you need any dental work done within an hour of this place, you’ll be smiling all the way home knowing you found the best dental practice in the area.

Dr. Nair is very caring and professional. So far I’ve had a very good experience.

I got three fillings at this office and now two of them are painful with cold or heat and one of them feels like it’s splitting apart. None of that was happening before the work they did. I asked for them to fix it and they said they would charge me to fix their mistake. So now I’ll just warn all of you. Stay clear.

I am highly disappointed in them. I had to change dentist and I went to Modern Dentistry and they told me I needed a deep cleaning. That cost be $800, but I figured I needed it because o hadn’t had to get one before! I shelled my next cleaning as I do go every 4 months. When they called to remind me about my appointment they informed me my cleaning appts were now going to cost $150 each time. Funny how they didn’t mention this prior as I would not have chosen them had I known it was going to cost me $600 out of pocket! Be sure and ask questions!!!!

This was the best dentist experiences I have had. Not only was the appointment quick and easy to book. Everyone was friendly and kind in the office. I was a bit nervous as I hadn't been to the dentist in a long time and they were helpful in explaining everything they were doing and explaining the results in layman's terms. After the initial inspection I was able to book a deep cleaning within a couple of days And completely broke out pricing to be as transparent as possible for what my insurance would cover versus what my out of pocket would be, as well as the individual line items so that I could have chosen to not purchase the pieces that were not covered by my insurance, although I opted to get the best care possible. The next appointment when just as smoothly as the first. My oral hygienist was amazing! I think her name was Rhea(sorry I'm bad with names if you see this!) or something similar. Since my cleaning a couple of days ago my teeth are looking SO much better but my gums are too! I flossed today and didn't see a spec of blood. I can't believe one cleaning could heal my gums to such an extent and I am very happy I opted for the laser treatment which was for that purpose from my understanding. 10/10 recommend this Dentist 🙂
