The clinic recommended an extremely costly root canal treatment that multiple other dentists confirmed should never have been performed. I relied on the clinic’s professional judgment, which now appears to have been used to take advantage of me financially. The work was poorly done, failed soon after, and no corrective action or refund was offered.

I believe the clinic acted negligently by recommending and performing a root canal that was not medically necessary. The procedure was completed incompetently, resulting in the dental work falling off shortly afterward. The refusal to refund or acknowledge fault reflects highly unprofessional behavior.

I can’t say enough good things about TMJ & Facial Pain Center and Integrative Dental Health! I moved to Orlando 5 years ago and was looking for a reliable dental office for years. I’ve been to several dental offices who would send in a office manager aka a "closer" to try to pressure me to sign up for a bunch of procedures at astronomical prices. Dr. Jeonggyu is the first person who took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the whole process. He doesn’t pressure you to make decisions right away which is a huge plus for me. It is clear he truly cares about his patients and wants to help you feel better, not just treat symptoms. Dr. An is amazing! We are so glad that we found Health Smile Dentistry! First, he takes kids (most places do not take kids)! Second, he treats kids without sedation. In fact, he did not even give my son novocaine, and he was totally fine! Lastly, and most importantly, he gave us an honest assessment. He treated only what needed to be treated and preserved as much of the natural tooth structure as possible. A different pediatric dentist said that both of sons needed numerous crowns and fillings and would only treat them if they were sedated. We are so glad that we found Dr. An and Healthy Smile Dentistry!

As someone who has struggled with TMJ issues for many years, I reached out to this office in hopes of finally finding a solution. Unfortunately, instead of being welcomed with understanding and respect, I was met with rudeness and impatience. Before scheduling an appointment, I simply wanted to understand what treatment options a TMJ specialist might offer—especially since this would have been my first time seeing a specialist in this field. Rather than providing guidance or reassurance, the response I received was dismissive and disrespectful. If you already have deep knowledge of TMJ treatment, you may be able to communicate with this office. But if you’re looking for a provider who will take the time to listen, orient you, and treat you with professionalism, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. The owner was extremely rude, unprofessional, and lacking in basic courtesy. 0/10 — would not recommend. - Update: Attached is the response I received from this office.

I’m so happy I found Dr. An! I had been putting off getting my wisdom teeth removed out of fear for YEARS, but he made the whole experience so easy and comforting. He was gentle, caring, and got me in quickly when I needed. I’m so thankful for my friends referral. Now I’ve found my new dentist! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Dr. An!

I am submitting this complaint due to unprofessional conduct and substandard dental care. I was advised to undergo an expensive root canal that later consultations confirmed was unnecessary. Despite this, the procedure was performed poorly and failed shortly afterward. The clinic refused to take responsibility or issue a refund, which I believe constitutes taking advantage of a patient’s trust.
