Grocery Outlet

Great discounted prices on all items throughout the store, friendly staff, organized aisles, big parking lot, and a big variety of items are a few of the things that make this store so good. Outside of the store, you'll find a Wells Fargo atm machine,potted plants,and a few fresh fruits and vegetables. The parking lot might seem full at times but there's more parking on the left side of the store so you'll definitely get a spot when you go. Some items are only there once so when you see an item that you don't see that often,pick it up or it's gone for good. Im always excited when I come here because I cant wait to see what new items they have in stock. Happy hunting for items and deals.

I was ready to give 4 stars, but this was disappointing. They had bacon mislabeled (I have it on video), and when I mentioned it, the cashier said she verbally assaulted me including saying "If you don’t have enough money…" — totally rude and humiliating. I told the manager the whole bacon section said $5.99 and nowhere it said $20.99. He refused to honor the price, saying California law only counts it as "mislabeled" if the tag has the full item description. Cashier name sandy

Thanks to Francisco the cashier that checked out my stuff earlier this evening, I will NEVER return to this location again. First off, after he was done with the customer in front of me, he rang up some stuff for the security guard which kind of threw me off. Then he almost gave *me* the guard's change & receipt. Huh? Then, while Francisco rang up my stuff, he had to sneeze. He accused me of giving him "a look" when he sneezed when I was looking elsewhere! Then he claims to have sanitized his hands after but I didn't notice him doing that. There are some things employees just are not supposed to say to customers, and I have no clue what prompted him to make such a foolish accusation. Some people truly aren't cut out for customer service work. If I wasn't tired from a long day at work then, I would've let Francisco know up front that he made a mistake with me. Oddly, he was more courteous with the old white guy customer that was behind me. I've already seen some sketch stuff at this location in the past, but I gave the place another chance. After this experience, I'm done with this place. Better off going to the Alameda store. Only little good thing that came from this is that I got the receipt so I can let you all know who I'm talking about.

I just moved back to California from New Orleans. The cost of living between the two places is very different. Grocery Outlet is an excellent place to shop. The staff in friendly & helpful, the store always has great, lower prices that don't destroy my wallet, as well as a great selection to choose from. thank you Grocery Outlet.

Best wine selection in months. I typically wait for the wine sale too. However ,there are so many great things in the store right now. I would not wait. I found these great splits of Pinot Noir, typically, I'm not a Central Coast fan. These are wonderful for those who want only a glass or have a small family. At any rate, get into Oakland's Grocery Outlets now. The selections are great. Don't wait for the wine sale. Or do! I shopped at the Hayward store on Saturday, but the downtown Oakland store is by far The best when it comes to wine selection.

I've been a huge fan of grocery outlet for years, and this location has always been an especially good one, for their big produce department and large inventory. However, they've been making a lot of changes recently- some good ones, and some that are bumming me out. I've noticed that they've started carrying a LOT of generic Grocery Outlet branded items. One of the things I have always loved about GO is that I could get high quality/name brand items for less, but many of those items have now been swapped out for the generic version. On the one hand, it's nice to have more consistency in the availability of products, but on the other hand I am sad that some previously available items are no longer being stocked. I used to be able to get local organic eggs at a reasonable price here, but now they are only carrying the Simply GO brand (no free range/organic option). Sometimes I don't mind paying a couple dollars more for a better product, rather than always going for the cheapest option. I'm really hoping that the store brand doesn't completely take over, and I really wish they'd bring back the other egg options!

I love the grocery outlet and I shop here before going to other stores. I find great and unbeatable deals here. They also have great organic selections and I love it.
