I’m so thankful I found the Kheir Clinic! Since transferring here, I have had a truly wonderful experience. James An, the Patient Outreach Director, was incredibly supportive throughout the entire enrollment process. He truly went above and beyond -- even following up after my care to make sure everything was going well and to make the transition as easy as possible for me. Honestly, I have never experienced such exceptional service in U.S. healthcare before. My Doctor, Dr. Schluederberg, was also fantastic. His high level of education and expertise is evident, and it made me feel incredibly safe and well cared for. Additionally, the entire front office staff was kind and helpful. I couldn’t just say thank you; I had to leave a review to let everyone know how great they are!
So far, so good. Going to any Medicare/Medical clinic is often not the best experience. This place is new & clean. The appointments have been fairly on time. My doctor is thorough, and I’m making more progress on finding help. The biggest issue I have is with the parking - all the appointment reminders, and you can’t give a heads up about how & where to park? It’s not the obvious parking lot next to the clinic, it’s the next one after - you really ought to tell people that. And that they have to download an app & enter all sorts of personal data just to get back out of this parking lot. Metropolis parking is awful, and they don’t have my permission farm my data.
I fasted and arrived at the hospital 20 minutes before my appointment time. They told me there was no reservation. I showed them the confirmation text, and the front desk staff looked flustered. After staring at the computer for a while, they told me I couldn’t be seen today. Since I had already fasted and come from far away, I asked if I could at least do a blood test or basic check-up. After another long time staring at the computer, they said the head would need to look into it. So I waited again. I asked if I needed to move my mirror-parked car, and they told me someone was helping me right now, so I paid for an hour of parking and came back—only to be told again that they couldn’t see me today. I held it in, even though it was their mistake with the reservation. I paid for parking and came back just to be told no again. Still, I stayed calm. Then the head, Brian, came and said there was nothing he could do. He said the scheduling department would call me on Monday to explain what happened. I asked for the names of the people who had been helping me, and he told me to write them down myself. This place is truly infuriating. Not once did anyone apologize. They should change the name from "Neighborhood Care" because it’s more like "Neighborhood Torture" or "Pretending to be a Neighbor." They kept saying, "That’s another department’s issue," and "I don’t know." A person like Brian being the head of the front desk is tarnishing the face of this clinic. If someone—anyone—had just said a simple "sorry," I wouldn’t have bothered writing all this. Their mistake, their fault, and not even a single apology. I will be calling. I am not their "neighbor." I’m not their helper. This attitude is just beyond disappointing.
I ♥️ the clinic my doctor Chris Chang and jungyn lee who was kind enough to call me on Thanksgiving day to check to see how I was after I got very ill the day before Thanksgiving I will always remember that ❤️
Terrible place, no answer most of the times and they don’t call back after left message. Horrible place, not like any other medical facilities, be careful to join. I will get out of this program soon. When you need help, they are not there. It’s very painful !!!!
I had an appointment at this clinic, and while the doctor was fine, the hispanic receptionist girl was unbelievably rude. From the moment I walked in, she acted like I was inconveniencing her. She barely made eye contact, made rude snarky comments and spoke to me like I was a nuisance. The whole experience was uncomfortable, and I honestly considered walking out. If the front desk is this unprofessional, I can only imagine how many patients they lose because of it. I mean we are sick in need of help and they treat us worse than those working at the DMV. The clinic really needs to reconsider who they have as the first point of contact.
My sister went to the ER on April 12th and was told to see her attending physician within 3 days upon discharge. So she visited Kheir Clinic Room 100 on April 14th and explained the purpose of her visit. She was told to make an appointment, which sounded like a threat. This 100th room has been extremely rude and unpleasant since it opened. However, Room 120 across the street is very friendly. I go to this clinic because my attending physician is friendly, but I am thinking of transferring to a different clinic because of the rudeness of the front desk. Then one day, a Korean elderly woman visited for the first time, and the Latin front desk lady asked if she could submit her application in Spanish, which was shocking. The next day, I visited my sister in the gastroenterology doctor office and explained the visit. She asked if my sister was okay, expressed her concern, and gave front desk lady discharge papers. She scanned the papers and the doctor in charge said he would contact me after reviewing them. Kheir Clinic needs to start by providing character education. I been visited many doctors office but never seem like them Kheir Clinic #100 front desk.
