Northgate González Market

I’ve reviewed this store before. I like their over all selection in all of their departments and the employees are nice and helpful. I appreciate the cleanliness and organization at the meat counter with someone calling the numbers. EXCEPT the conversations going on among cashiers and baggers. I’ve tried standing there and guiding them to bag my groceries. I even started a new system in which I put the bag on the band first and the groceries that go in that bag next. Today the young cashier and young man were so into their conversation my bags were put to the side and he started to bag improperly. My bolillos were with the cans. The soft apricots were under the bananas. I still come because the Northgate in Pico Rivera is a much smaller store…. But like they say in Mexico, "me están llenado el costal de piedritas." Which means my patience is running out. They have no common sense. Maybe if I make sure the cashier has a more mature person bagging.

Items are very well displayed, quality is good, prices are good, especially the staff are bright and friendly The product is very diverse and the price is relatively cheap. A very clean and well-organized market with plenty of Mexican snacks The Korean market seems to be the most expensive... The Chinese market and the Mexican market seem to be cheap and good quality. Food and beverage prices are cheaper than other places and the quality is good. In particular, it is easy to purchase Mexican food ingredients and they are well organized.

Northgate Gonzalez market has been around a long time. It was established in 1980 by Don Miguel Gonzalez Reynoso's family. It now has 41 stores in Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, and Riverside counties.This market has Latin American, and Mexican goods .They have fresh meats and seafood, fruits and vegetables, bakery and hot foods, auga frescas ,Tortilleria, Panaderia ,fresh flowers and so much more. The managers and employees are courteous and friendly and very helpful. The customer service is really great. I’ve been to this market many times and I felt it was time to do a review. We enjoy visiting this market and plaza. They have an outdoor courtyard, dining area and a nice fountain to enjoy your view. There’s plenty of parking ,the handicap stalls are close to the front entrance.

This place is pretty great with the quality of the produce, I’ve been shopping here for a while now. However, the quality of service has been very poor lately. Today as I headed to the register, the cashier didn’t acknowledge us whatsoever, just started scanning my stuff and proceeded to gossip with her coworker bagging my items. It was very unpleasant to stand there and listen to her cuss saying the F word repeatedly talking about another employee. Like no care at all that she had a customer standing in front of her. Very unprofessional and unpleasant.

I enjoyed going here but I don't know if I will ever be back Due to how the Sunday morning Manger was when I thought there might have been a mistake on my purchase from Saturday on a weighted half of watermelon! She was rude nasty and belligerent has no business working with customers ! She has no clue what a customer is ! Could have done a better job at my issue and suggested that I bring in the Half of Watermelon if it has not been used and re weight in a very positive and polite way. As a Manger I would be very interested if there was a issue going on with one of my scale. Instead of just stating its correct in a hostile way in her tone and actions. You don't treat customers that way. You work with customers! I definitely would not want someone like that working for me !! How is she around employees also. She has left a really bad taste in my mouth about coming back to LH Northgate Market.

This is the first time trying Northgate Market. When I enter the market all I can say Omg!!!! Northgate Market is extremely organized and clean store. They have everything you need for all your families needs. The Staff are very friendly and helpful. You can feel they are proud to be part of this epic company. I will be shopping at Northgate Market in the near future. Great Great place.
